It could still be the TPN helping with your hair growth (alongside the shampoo). It takes about 6 months for new medications/diet/nutrition to have any effect on the quality of your hair 😊

That is good to hear. I have only been on feeds for 3 weeks and my hair was not doing good because on the deficiencies and lack of nutrition. I also have Gastroparesis from Autoimmune Ganglionopathy Autonomic Neuropathy and I am being tested for Lupus.

I'm commenting quite early but I just wanted to say thank you. I'm having quite some issues with "new pain", have chronic migraines and now the joint pain I merely had turned into a chronic issue and my stomach is acting up blah blah but you make all this stuff easier to take because of how precious and sweet and positive you are. You're such an inspiration. Really. And thanks to you sharing your life a bit with us, I was able to help a friend getting an actual diagnosis because doctors here were as clueless as my friend was and now everything is sorted and proper treatment is starting for them. I was recently diagnosed with MEN2b, a rare genetic disorder (of course) and have had two major surgeries in the last two months. I too ABSOLUTELY LOVE that she shows BOTH. I suffer from chronic pain (NOTHING like Amy) I only have Spinabifida and have had 13 Back surgeries and am waiting for my 14th. When I first found Amy a few months ago, I must say I sometimes got a tiny bit down because she handled everything so amazingly well. At the same time I was so happy and envious of her for being able to do so! Then one day she showed that she was having a bad day. While I was so extremely sad for her, it let me know she was human and that I'm not the big baby I eas beginning you feel like I was. So showing BOTH sides of chronic illness is so amazing to do so. And I'm SO EXTREMELY THANKFUL for both Amy and Tom for sharing and allowing us all a small peek thru the window of their life! Thank you guys SO VERY MUCH!!

I just started watching your videos a few days ago and you are so strong. You constantly apologize for "complaining" and you don't need to do that at all. You go through more pain than most people. I have chronic back and stomach problems but it's nothing compared to your conditions and you always stay so positive! You are an inspiration and I think the tpn has been great for you. Your hair growth/healthiness is due to the TPN (in turn making you healthier). Your body is benefiting from all of those great vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients in the TPN as well as the extra hydration you get👍🏻 That’s great! Happy Belated Birthday!

Have you got weird looks when you get up from your wheelchair? I use mine sometimes and when I do people look as if trying to figure out what's wrong with me. Kids stare holes lol. If I get up (because I can walk it just hurts to walk) people stare.

Happy happy birthday, Amy! Your hair is looking fab, but it's very unlikely that a shampoo (or any external beauty product) will accelerate hair growth. That's mostly determined by genetics, and yes, your TPN will likely be playing a role, too (the protein would initially go to things other than producing keratin for your hair, especially since you were so malnourished, which explains the delay). Anyway, it's looking great, and so are you! I'm glad you're recovering after your latest hospital stay. x

I've been dealing with gastrointestinal issues for years and finally have been told they think my digestive system is 'lazy' and that my muscles don't contract like they should to move things through, so I get really backed up and super sick. J .x i moved to Australia because my parents did and I don’t live with my mum because of the dogs. I wanted it to be cleaner for my Hickman line. I’ve almost had it a year now so it’s safe to be around my dogs now, well safer. However it’s pointless to move back in with my mum now because our house is less than a year from being built, might aswell just wait for that rather than moving out twice.
