I bought this tractor 3 years ago. What a great machine. I’ll never need another one. I live on 80 acres of wooded land. There’s always something to lift, pull, haul, move, dig; and it fits in the garage!

I have a 1025r TLB. I love it. It is a 2021 and I have over 800 hours on it. I use it all the time however I would like to get a 2025r to help offset the hours on my 1025r. It is always good to have a backup tractor.

While I do love my 2025r, I can't, in good conscience, recommend it at this point. If you're looking to move up, I'd suggest a 2032r.

I like your approach . Enjoy your tractor. 6 years ago I purchased the 1023e with backhoe & h120 loader. What I needed is what I purchased. Still have the 2012 x series for mowing . The power angle plow & Johnny bucket sits in the corner of the garage. My drive is only 200 feet so the hla snow push was perfect for the snow.

I bought my 2025 new 1n 2018, with the backhoe and front loader. The backhoe was the best accessory I ever purchase. Just seen you video on the hydraulic gauge for the hydraulic pressure. I will be buying the pressure gauge very soon. My reasons for the 2025 was ground clearance for working in the woods the 25 hp. you do not need to add dep to the fuel and no re gen.

We upgraded to a 2025r from a 2305, I love the tractors and my old attactments worked on the new one. Pallet forks are very handy for all kinds of things not pallets. No back hoe but a 60inch belly mower with a imatch quick hitch and titan ballest box and beat juice. No complaints on stability even mowing up hill.

I so know what you're saying about the mental stress you put on your self trying to decide on what Deere to buy. ,I have done much the same! A friend has a 1025r EC 16k fel, mower deck, box blade. Found a 2025 used nearly same money!! I'm like you, I want more! But the 1025 most likely would do all I need it to do. The 748 is a good Deere!! You will be glad in long run you got the Backhoe!

I got mine 11/5/2021. I have 12 hours on it already. Dug out a drainage four hours with the backhoe. Uses the front bucket to level a driveway and then removed the backhoe and mounted my used scrape blade to scrape and level the new gravel I had delivered. Not messing with an imatch because my tiller is a different width from my scrape blade and my finishing mower. Luckily the dealer filled the tires before he even delivered it to me.

I went through the same process. I had an x585 and I wanted extra functionality but did not want to invest the costs to buy attachments for a 20 year old tractor. I did sell the x585 even though it is a much superior lawn mower, but while I have a lot of tractors, I just didn't need an extra mouth to feed. With the 2025R, high range does not have torque. With all of the weight, the L range is where the power is. Once you get familiar with that H/L range and when to use it, its not bad. I would recommend checking your hydraulic pressure for the loader. You can see my videos for additional notes. For the ballast box, use straight Portland cement (not cement) you will have all the ballast you'll ever need.

Trust me, you will more than make up for the expense by having a tool, like a JD1 or JD2 at your ready...just do the math of having someone else do it -that is, if they ever even show up! As they it's said, "Time is money". I've had a 1025R for 8 years and have never looked back. Get some time with the machine and ballast figured out, which does take time, and you'll be set. Congratulations!

I've got the exact same unit. I love it. I don't like the 1 series simply because they look like overgrown lawn mowers. The 2025 to me looks like a real tractor. Besides, it was only like 2 grand more than the 1025. Big deal. Why did I get the backhoe? Because I wanted one, end of discussion. I've used mine more times than I can count. The people asking the question are the ones who don't even own a tractor, so their opinions are null and void. I don't agree with your assessment of the tractors being useless out of the box. That's bullshit. I have not had any reason to add ballast to my tractor. It works just fine the way it is. Maybe I don't use it hard who knows, but it works for me. Only things I've added are a hook and shackle plate for the bucket that fits the existing holes. Use that a lot to lift stuff. I bought the tooth bar for scraping soil from my drainage gully. I recently purchased the quick attach pallet forks for lifting lumber, boxes, etc. I had a set of the bolt on forks that go on the bucket, that I got at an auction, but they were a PIA to attach and set up just to use to life something out of my truck. Got rid of them. I love my tractor. You find jobs for it that you never knew you had in mind before you owned a tractor. Just moved two yards of topsoil yesterday. Took no time. I'm close to 60 years old and my days of lifting and digging by hand are over.

The "not turning" is likely too much ballast on the rear with the backhoe and no weight on the front. If you had a load of gravel in the bucket it probably would have turned just fine. Be glad you have beet juice fairly "locally." Closest dealer to me is about a 3 hour drive each way. That's the reason I'm just running around with my stump grinder on the back for ballast.

I look at the 1025 and the 2025 as close to the same, despite some differences. The tire and frame sizes are just larger which lead to it being slightly heavier. While I've seen these are in rental places or at Home Depot for the same purposes, myself I'll pass on the 2025 for the 2032. Others on here have said about putting deals together with accessories.

I just bought a kioti cx2510 it's about 500 lbs heavier than yours without the beet juice and I agree zero torque from the hst in high range. The only attachment that I have right now is a box blade and my payments don't start till the rest of my stuff ( loader, tooth bar, backhoe, rear blade, and pallet forks) get here. Been waiting since the 15th of December and the dealership has no idea when they will arrive. Gotta love this covid excuse they all use. 😆 meanwhile I have 5 hrs on the tractor and my driveway has never looked better. 🙃

need some 38lb weights on your front end, too much weight on the real with your backhoe. the front weights will still clear your front end loaderand you will get good traction with your front tires.also instead of going with the IMATCH SYSTEM ON YOUR 3 POINT WHICH I HAVE, IM ALSO DECIDED TO GO WITH THE PAT"S QUICK HITCH SYSTEM INSTEAD....you ask why??...because not everything is going to fit the imatch system and any older attachments you get, you wont be able to use the imatch system for it, ask me how i know, simple.....i allready did the issue myself...just trying to save you money, and if you put the imatch system for your brushcutter or other rear impliments, you can only go so many angles with it without the imatch system getting in the way because of the pto shaft....

Congrats on your tractor! I bought my 2025r TLB in July of 21. I’m sure it varies dealer to dealer, but mine loaded my tires before delivery. As far as pulling, I’m reasonably sure the 2025 will pull the 748 up the hill as it’s driving the other way, I can see why you’d say that though because it doesn’t feel that strong just driving around. I found out the hard way that the 2025 TLB often comes with 3 point lift assembly’s for the 1025. They’re very much the same with one big exception, the lift links. The 2025 should be around 19” whereas the 1025’s are 16”. Make sure you check that. Fortunately, my dealer took ownership and corrected it right away. As for attachments, it’s easy to get in deep quickly!! I ordered mine with the imatch quick hitch and a 60” box blade. I would have also ordered a tiller, but they didn’t have one and had no idea when one would show up. Luckily for me, we were out of town for my daughters softball tournament the following week and the dealer in that town had a tiller. I got a lot of weird looks at the campground all weekend, but I’m sure those looks were mostly envious… I scored a deal on some lightly used Titan pallet forks. I am amazed at how handy those are and how I managed to live without them all these years. I am also amazed at the size of logs that I have been able to lift and move with this tractor. Last week, a RB2060 rear blade and LR5060 landscape rake found their way into my garage. Both were on hand for a while and came in before costs have increased, so the dealer gave me a pretty awesome deal on them. Both were less than what I could find a farm store variety for, so I kind of had to. I’m sure you know how that goes. As far as the quick hitch goes, I wouldn’t go without. I don’t think it matters really which one you get (that said, I wouldn’t advise the Harbor Freight version) but that green one does look sexy back there! Anyway, congrats again! I hope it serves you well for many years.
