Congrats Mike! I was working for fendt from 1989 - 1992 The difference between the MAN D4276 for the tractors with up to 700 hp is the turbo with a variabel geometry, to get the max torque at low revs, the ones for upt to 790 hp for cmbines have a fixed (larger) turbo. Enjoy the german „meisterstück“,

My dad talked about seeding up in Montana in the 60s using a two track. It was made by Caterpillar. It was made in the 40s I believe. The farm was out of available wheeled machines so he pulled the 2 track out of the trees and got it running. He didn't like the ride and the hitch was its Achilles Ankle but it seeded for two years. The big heavy iron weight up front also was able to push dirt. Much more useful than those sadle weights I'm sure. He parked it in the tool shed when he changed farms. He showed it to me 26 years later. It was just where he parked it.

Hi Mike, that MAN 16.2L 6 cylinder in-line engine is the MAN D4276 in a range of 612-700hp, ..... that same D4276 is also available as a 790hp ( IDEAL 10 ). So an extra 30hp on the MT1167 will be no problem, I think that 790hp has some heavier parts in it, at least the transmission/gears. Please fix that zip-tie cable (4:50) if you don't want some expensive short circuit in your electric system.

It’s fine with the zip tie.

@@mikeznel6048 I'll give it a couple of weeks when the insulation of the white cables is cut through on that iron bracket, the black hose doesn't do anything to protect those cables, they already make "contact" to that iron ( 4:45 ), ..... but yaah, I'm not the expert. 😉

Hey mate, in regards to the horsepower, I'm fairly sure that they only put 620hp through the transmission, and the 50 horses on top of that is purely for hydraulics/auxiliaries. So I can't see them putting a 790hp version out until they're comfortable that their transmission can handle 750hp+
@robb58282 жыл бұрын
I don't know anything about tractor transmissions,i know they are made for torque and low rpm,but there are cars on the road with way more hp then 790 hp,wouldn't be easy to have a transmission capable for that power?
@sammurphy54542 жыл бұрын
@@robb5828 it's more to do with the huge, constant loads which tractor transmissions are subject too. It's not unusual for a plough to be subjecting a tractor driveline to 50,000lbs plus constantly for 10 or more hours a day.
