Gotta love it when one job turns into something else. Guess I am lucky no bearing issues on mine in almost 2 years except the time I caught some fishing line in there it was so wound up I didnt think I could even get the clip off to do the bearing.

2 things that will make xmaxx grinding noise.......cush gear cover bolts stripped not keeping cush down tight and the forward backward movement of the cush drive shaft......add glow plug washer behind rear bearing of cush drive shaft to take up the 1.5 mm slack....works like a charm

I'd still check them brand new as well! My armma Typhon's tires weren't glued in some spots! Brand new straight out the box! Had to re glue them before I could even run it! Same with the leaking shock's! 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👽😎🛸🤟

I had the same issue happened to my X-Maxx. The tire ripped and then I had to buy a set of all new tires that match. That was very expensive to be honest. My X-Maxx is broke again. I have to fix the steering knuckle. That just broke. Lol

Great video, the Xmaxx is TOUGH on bearings, I always have many on hand, I'm a fan of the lights I do wish the Xmaxx rear light was in the bumper like the maxx but it's not bad in the body....👍👍

it's super easy to put it into the rear bumper. that's how i have mine. there are videos on how to do it if you do a quick youtube search. if you are worried about messing up the stock bumper you can just order a new one first to put the light into first. the bumpers are cheap.

Earl it’s been a few months since I’ve messaged you. How you doing sir ? I think it’s been about 3-4 months since the losi Promoto videos that I’ve interacted with you. Hope all is well. For late 2023 early 2024 I’m gonna start getting out there and running my rc’s. The new lipo batteries and new Venom Duo Pro charger are both going to benefit me in the long run. I got premium quality lipos with a decently high C rating. Can’t wait to run my cars again. I’ve been avoiding the sun because of the whole heart situation but my blood work from the doctor came out normal for the most part. My LDL cholesterol was 138 ml and my HDL was 35 ml. My total cholesterol altogether was good and everything else was good. Gotta get that sunshine I’ve been out of the hobby due to anxiousness and anxiety. Merry Christmas sir 🎄.

Had the light kit got tired of unplugging it and plugging it, it looks cool, tho, I unboxed my XMAXX ULTIMATE today, and I noticed one change on it, besides all the aluminum goodies. And did you try repack your bearing, I do all the time to get all I can out of it.

The bearing was frozen even sitting in PB blaster it wouldn’t break free so had to replace it

I was watching your previous videos. I honestly do believe you could not build the ultimate X maxx . For the same price of the factory one. Just like in full scale. Go try to build your car for the price you paid from it .I’ve been into RC cars since the 70s when there were no ready to runs .I do enjoy the shock of people flying them 50 feet in the air. But I like to keep mine on the ground. and do jumps around the track. happy new year Earl🎉

You’re absolutely correct. The extra $500 for the ultimate is well worth it if you’re into all those aluminum upgrades plus the tires gears and shock shafts plus like Earl said most of those parts aren’t even available yet

The traxxas lights are really nice , shame have to use there esc . I wouldn’t be happy if my new xxmaxx sounded like yours , I know you tried different spur gears ⚙️ but that truck was never right?

Mine actually showed up out of the box missing bearings. Cost me a new rear Xmaxx ultimate rear hub corner and the fron gear differential. This was new out of the box. One run and poof, dead truck. Second, the ultimate tire rims have all chipped and cracked in under 3 months of casual use.

I'm sure those lights in the body will be fine. I've never known of a xmaxx body to go flying off during a crash. Hope those are extra quick disconnect plugs.

Iv un seized barrings just by soaking them in break cleaner then just wiggling them back and forth to free them/ then more break cleaner to flush out the crap/ then pack with grease. Iv save a lot that way.

If you've never ran a RC before or even one with a decent esc then it'd be fine until it dies. They are just bad performance wise and don't last a long time with limited adjustability fðř Just putting a good esc in by itself really wakes the truck up.

That’s how all traxxas tires are I use traxxas glue and reglue them from new I’ve tried other supper glue it doesn’t work for some reason the traxxas glue works good

I ran my Traxxas light kit without the stock ESC and the Max 6 installed. There are lots of us that o.. Look up the workaround. I'm not using the stock radio I use a DX5 Rugged for all my bashers ever since the green one went on sale a while back. I couldn't pass up the deal. I'm not sure why it was only the green version as they are all the same internally it's just a different color. It must be aniti-stoners that put it on sale. lol

I have to admit, I was wrong. I allowed my dislike for Traxxas to influence my opinion towards the Xmaxx & XRT. Your last video is what actually made me stop and think about all of the FACTS.. and I was wrong for a long time. The way I see it now, the XRT Ultimate is a good deal @ $1500 and I’ve always had a gravitational pull towards the Xmaxx. It’s just I have the same gripe with Traxxas as you with Team Corally.
