Good purchase, not a bad price. I hope they did make the adjustments to the transmissions, but knowing GM it's too good to be true. They are known for example having the same lifter issues for like 17 years in their 5.3 engines. The Allsion Transmissions on these are not the true originals, they more or less just paid to slap the Allison name on them. GMC is definitely a pretty trim, it's almost like Lincoln is to Ford. I thought you were going to pay like 80k, you didn't do bad for yourself at all. Hope your streak of gettiing into random accidents and weird weather disasters ends and this truck stays solid for you. I heard the only 6.6 issue is burning oil, hopefully that got fixed in the newer batch
@Adventureswithmike111 сағат бұрын
@LamelKendrick yeah, every truck out there has some issues.Pretty much everything you buy, it's gonna have something. I've heard good things. And I've heard bad things. I know some people who have over a 150000 miles without a single issue. With these trucks motors and trans.. and some turn out to be duds,
@jasonpeters322811 сағат бұрын
With that price difference the GMC was a good buy. And ford beat their newer trucks with an ugly stick since the years earlier. So you probably got the best looking HD truck made for 2025.
@Adventureswithmike111 сағат бұрын
@jasonpeters3228 yeah, I don't like the look on the new Fords. And this is a very good looking truck.The only thing I don't like is those weird mirrors... I have never liked them.Since changed their design years ago..

My 2002 Ford F-150 the damn spark plug blowed up to the third time the second spark plug on at 5.4 at Triton engine the mechanic scared me he said for the third time
@Adventureswithmike113 сағат бұрын
@garyeverhart2260 yeah that was one of the problems on those older engines. But they can be easily fixed for a few 100 bucks. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to keep making that paper
@anthonyfletcher489813 сағат бұрын
Hey mike is the new truck a gas or diesel and when are you putting all the parts on the new truck tomorrow
@Adventureswithmike113 сағат бұрын
@anthonyfletcher4898 this truck has a 6.6 gas engine 401hp and 464 tq. With a 10 speed transmissto. 3.73 gears.. and tomorrow I'm gonna do as much as I can. The weather's supposed to be crummy, so I'll see what I can get on it

Who’s making the payments? I hate when specing out a vehicle and it makes you upgrade to crap you don’t want. Walked away from a couple deals because of it. Just bought a Jeep JL 2 door and wanted the bare bones, down to roll up windows. Only thing I which it had was power doorlocks.
@Adventureswithmike111 сағат бұрын
Yeah, I hate when they make you get a bunch of c*** that you don't want, which just jack's the overall price of the vehicle up for things you don't want or really care about.. and I will be making the payments. This truck will be put to work and it'll start turning a profit and basically pay itself off in the first year
@ChiefLilly714 сағат бұрын
@ 😎 the payment thing, it’s meant for the people that don’t have anything nice to say.

Why no dodge
@Adventureswithmike12 сағат бұрын
I mean, it's a good question, but for what I do, they will not hold up. Plain and simple there reliability and build quality.Is a lot lower than ford and gm everybody, I know that has Dodge Ram. Trucks has nothing but problems, but they still stand behind it.Which baffles me. Yeah, they're nice when they're new, but after a few years, you start to see all the gremlins come out. And dodge owners themselves, they will always say that they drive a cummings and not a dodge. Cause even they're ashamed to say what they drive. And the company has changed hands so many times. At least ford and gm have been consistent
