Honestly, I like skate videos where it includes all the missed tries, gives it more of an authentic experience when it comes to skateboarding, it's dope seeing you land tricks so consistently, but I enjoy watching you try tricks that you've never learned or never do.

The flower model is cool. Plus Revive uses Woodchuck Laminates for it's woodshop and Woodchuck uses the best wood and cold presses them, which is the best way to make decks! As far a trucks go, I always change the bushings right away. I never skate the factory setting, even in my beloved Film Trucks.

I'm new to skateboarding. I bought a Tony Hawk from Walmart Dec 7th and upgraded to a Primitive 7.5 pre-made board with Primitive trucks and Primitive 52mm wheels 98A hardness. Bought it at Zumies on Friday January 13th. I have better balance on it plus it rides smoother and faster than the Walmart board. I'm gradually learning how to ride fakie and switch. I always go at a speed that I feel comfortable with. I always stretch before riding and stretch my ankles in weird ways to decrease the chances of spraining or breaking my ankles if I land on them the wrong way. I skate mostly everyday because I enjoy it. When I fall I take a break then try again. A quote that I came up with "Failure is one more stepping stone to success."

In 96 or so, when I was a young teen, Jim and Tommy sent me a box full of stuff. I used to buy a lot from DLX on Market in SF, when Marc was the manger there, and I broke a pair of thunders, and sent them back with a letter and some receipts. He sent me a Quim Deck, and oval logo, a new pair of thunders, some bearings and a set of spitfires. I’ll never forget getting the DLX box at my front door, coming home from high school with all the neighborhood kids for the after school session that always went down at my house before our town got a skatepark. He sent me a package one other time too I think, replacing a broken deck. Oh and he wrote me a return note once that he and Tommy signed after I sent them this porn graphic with the Real oval logo on it, suggesting they do a board with it. Lol I thought it was punk rock at 13. I still have the letter. Only time I ever saw Jim was at a pro contest in Daily City that was put on on Mike Carroll’s birthday, and he won it. Only time I saw the legend in person. I must’ve been 15. I’m in the backdrop of that contest in an old 411VM, screaming, “yeah Mike”! When he gets his bday trophy for the win. It all seemed larger than life back then. Jim is still giving back. Epic!

I've skated my whole life and recently started struggling with wanting to branch out and try other things/ change what I mainly do and skateboarding be its own thing and not my entire life. I'm an older skater so a medium to mellow concave is what works best I run an Almost Bowerbank impact support mellow concave. I prefer almost boards because the feel is exactly the same every time.

I hit my bushings with 303 Fibreglass/ rubber plastic restorer spray when new. Like my tires and wiper blades. Extends the life. Less Squeak too.

You gotta be careful with thunders I have bought like 3 pairs that aren't paired correctly. There's a front truck and a back truck so the bolts face the right directions. And when kids start trying them on at the skateshop they rearrange them and you wind up with two bolts on the same side or whatever. It's not a big deal but I am super OCD about it.

I think it's more than that with your algorithm trends. You started off as more of a talking vloging channel and your audience is made up of those people. KZbin will usher in and suggest to other watchers who watch talking vlogs with x-sports involved to go to your channel to see more talking stuff by active people. It'd not that youtube is generally for vlogers nessisarily, it's more your channel is tagged in the algorithm as a talking channel. I've been testing this and watch hiking, skateboarding and snowboarding without talking on KZbin and after a few days the algorithm ushers in to my home page just non talking picturesque video. Then if I watch a bunch of talking stuff for a few days, youtube will fill my home page with vlogs. If I watch art stuff it gives me art stuff. If I watch news it gives me news channels from all over the world. It depends on what you watch. As a video maker, which I've also done and experimented with, if I make talking videos I get hardly any views, but if I make art videos I get a lot of views because I started of with making art videos and a lot of my audience is other artists and art consumers I met at art shows or at art university. I'm sure if I make a new channel that is only my talking vlog stuff, it will develop its own audience and algorithm and not a lot of people from my art channel will be interested in it.

You're gonna laugh but Core trucks (Amazon) are actually really good. The bushings are trash but that's an easy fix. Otherwise they skate really good and only 30 bucks a pair. They are not your typical "cheap" trucks .

Don't get revives style of skateboards man, the old crappy looking designs get continued till probably like my elders, but gems like this get sold out and then never comes back again, was so hard even finding the design now. got out of stock right after I had the money to buy it, then my old board got stolen and now I don't even have the motivation or money OR a nice looking design for once. love how it's a board that actually fits you rather then all the other designs that go for Styles stuck i the post- tony hawk era, which for me feel like they could've been drawn on the first editing software, too much bright colors on a single design, which mostly doesn't look bad, but pretty sure that it would look 10x more pleasing if they used a proper color palate. First revive board I actually love, while the other designs seem to have taken a big step back (except for gigers mosaic deck, it's OK but not amazing). Also kinda disappointed in the marketing team of revive, they could've been way bigger by now, would they actually communicate about these things with their pros, have a selection of styles and not only concentrate on Design that they like. riding a boat with one person holding down a crucial loose floor board will only get you this far, even the strongest "board holder" would only need to slip for the situation to escalate. wanted to support them for a lot of years now, but now i'm like whatever, enough companies out there, just sad no other company makes designs for you. Great video tho, keep it up legend
