I’m am sorry too but this is my favorite Tudor since the blue black bay 58. I friggin love this black fxd! It is the modern Tudor Sub in every way. Snow flake hands + square markers = excellence!

I’m sorry but I absolutely love it. I have the blue FXD but I’m getting this too. The FXD is my favourite of all my watches. I love the 42mm, 22mm lugs and the movement os the most accurate of all my watches by far.

The original Pelagos suffers from a thick case just like the Black Bay 41. Doesn’t wear well on the wrist and flops around too much. Hopefully they will thin it down, perhaps by decreasing some of the water resistance. I think Thomas is right - this new FXD does have field watch vibes. Maybe that why I like it.

Great video, Sam. I think the point that everyone is missing is that an actual military watch is meant to be a little boring. I also love the no-date but agree it should be an option for those who want one, especially if it is the poker date wheel.

A fixed lug watch is awesome! Something different and totally takes away the weakest part of the watch, the spring bars. THis is a totally tool watch baddass watch .. Jason Bourne watch... finally something hardcore. You can have a great watch preaching toughness but if it blows off your wrist when the spring bars pop, how hardcore can it be? A Speedmaster professional with fixed lugs would be awesome. Space ..land and sea... all bases covered.

I think if it had some engraving or marking on the case back to more obviously tie its inception to the US Navy and/or SEAL Team 6 (like the blue FXD has with the MN and production year) it would have been less "meh /" and maybe more like "oh that's kind of cool and interesting".. even though I and 1000's of others are still holding out for the blue p39. And, yes, one could say that would be just another p39 color, BUT, we know that's not completely true and people would get very excited about because they REALLY want a blue p39.

If the MN was a no go and discontinued - this black FXD was not gonna make my eyes sore. It is also cool and awesome watch, but currently with my MN - I see no reason to buy one. However I know people who wanted this watch, but in black.

yup, nobody is going to rely on a auto/mechanical watch if you're life' depends on the time, it's going solid state, garmin, suunto, gshock. anything else and it's marketing of one sort or another. is the FXD a nice watch, yes, luv it but it's lore, not real life.

No hit or miss. Just another basic color. You got brown dress shoes, then you want a black pair as well. They should of release it together, not separate. C’on just another color you want me to get excited!? What Rolex/Tudor should stop doing is calling minor upgrade, or additional color separately as new model to create market hype. The truth is, not much newness from their offering. Very soon you’ll prob see BB54 in blue, red, green…and KZbinrs gonna hype them up force feed consumers again. Truth is, there are other brands out there are equally good but less hyped.

Tudor sub it is not. I’ve been saying for years that one day Tudor will bring back the cyclops on a diver and the world will lose their💩. Rolex/Tudor has most of the watch community by the you know what. Lambs to the slaughter….
