New Tundra with a composite bed offers a spray in bed liner. Why?

The new Tundra has a aluminium frame composite bed which is similar to what the Tacoma has had for years. They are more durable, lighter, and proven to be a great option. If it is so good then why does the new Tundra have the option for a spray in bed liner and what is the difference between the two? Here is your answer.

I just got mine last Tuesday and I’m planning to pay them for spraying then I tried walking on it with my good tennis shoes no slip or slicing at all so I don’t need

Hey steve quick question. just bought a toyota tacoma trd sport access cab. wondering what the best option is for protecting my bed. I do not have a garage so its in the weather alot. I have used spray in liners on other trucks, they are great. almost everyone i talk to that has a tacoma says get a mat. but im concerned with water getting under it. Money is not a issue for me i was thinking a spray in bed liner. what do you think?

Hi. I have a question. So those tie hooks on the back of the bed of the truck are not sprayed. Why? Only the ones in the front of the bed. Odd.

Hello, the reason they are not sprayed is so if any customer ever wants a bed extender option added, the back tie down bolts are used to secure it. Basically the tie down bolts are removed, bed extender installed, and tie down placed over the extender using longer bolts used to secure it them both. If there were sprayed, they wouldn’t be able to remove the bolts.

@@nathanblomme9278 I have spray in on my 2017 and it is slick and things slide around a lot. I agree, makes no sense on a composite bed.
