New TurboJohn Mustang Engine Install / Boosted 532ci BBC

Made it down to Randy's shop to get more work done on the new Mustang. Today, we got the engine and transmission installed and got the brake pedal mount made. Uncle Mike is a great fabricator and didn't take him but a few minutes to figure out how he wanted to mount this. Sitting in the car feels amazing! Cannot wait to get this thing fired up! Cannot thank everyone enough for helping with the build and following along with the progress.

Happy for ya, and not a criticism, but no shaft rockers? Haven’t seen rocker girdles in a hot second. Never had good luck with them on big inch high lift bbc.

All of our monster trucks run girdles. We spin em 8800 rpms. Never an issue with the studs.

Them stud girdles only hold the stud from falling out if you break one. Aftermarket heads don’t need them. Stock aluminum heads do. I ran L88 heads for years with the girdle. I didn’t need them once going to the Dart heads. Short story. Fred Mandoline never used them on his Bac-Man rat heads. He’s the one who me you don’t need them on aftermarket heads.

Add (weld) a new piece of square tubing inside the hoist arm to extend it. Had to do that myself.

John has slapped the big stick on the table! Let's see how this works out there's about 15 to 20 care in small tire no prep that have stepped up their games to a elite level and I think the days of 50 60 cars in small tire is gone but what we have now is 24 or so real gangsters left and I'm sure we will see more step up over time and who knows we might get back to 30 40 or even 50 cars in time and we are about to see the fastest times run on small tire slicks no prep ever!

Holy setback that whole engine is behind the front spindles that's gonna work as good as you can get on a setback engine for no prep it might be tricky getting it down on a real tight sticky track though but if anyone can figure it out it's John!

1/4”brake bracket, it adds up. A piece of.090 4130 with a 1/2 lip bent down on all the edges. Keep this car on the same level it’s at. It’s more work, but it’s easier to remove weight by not putting it in when you’re building. Car looks awesome, will definitely be faster than your previous cars. Can’t wait, you guys really get stuff done!

i think those different intake lengths one is for torque and the other is horse power,short and long.the also fixed it where a long one fores then a short one and so on for hp and torque

Cylinders 2-6 on the Right bank and cylinders 3 and 7 on the driver side has the short runners, the reason the short runners flow less usually is because their angled to flow right into the chamber wall fyi

Custom made by Uncle Mike...the man knows his stuff. Especially the way he designed the long travel front suspensions with the way the alignment is the same thru the full swing, for this and for Courtney's Comet.

It looks nice. Newer builds look like this, the biggest change in chassis work(for all chassis people) came from the cup for the front shocks. Before pipes had to be bent so you would get like a hockey stick. Now you run a straight to the cup a straight after the cup. The double frame rail is also weird to see without anything on it. It’s just tubes in the end. Also chrome moly is a lot smaller, so his older cars had mild steel they were much thicker and bigger diameter.

He bought this already started chassis from John Doc and had Uncle Mike do his work on it without starting over so I believe Mike used what was there and added to it keeping it a budget friendly build for John. It's going to be fine. Definately much safer and cleaner than anything TJ has previuosly owned before. I'm excited he went BIG BLOCK.
