New Turntable: Technics SL-1200 MK7

To replace my broken 2001 M3D, I bit the bullet and got a fresh MK7 to fulfill all vinyl listening and recording duties. My current setup consists of an SL-1200 MK7, Audio Technica VM95E stereophonic cartridge, Rolls VP49 phono preamp, Yamaha RX-V375 audio/video receiver, Klipsch R-51M Reference Series bookshelf speakers and a Polk PSW10 10" subwoofer.
Nothing about this setup to complain about, other than a slight hum from the [ten year old] Yamaha AVR, which will not be present in future uploads, as I DI straight from the Rolls preamp straight into my audio mixer; Behringer Xenyx 302USB.

The question is was it worth it? Or did you wish you bought something else?

It was not worth it. My M3D, which I still own, has a flimsy tonearm, something not mentioned online when I purchased it. Unfortunately replacement tonearms for 1200s are virtually extinct, so I had to do the next best thing, unfortunately, and pull the trigger on this. It's on credit, so it doesn't sting too bad but is it worth the money? No way! Does it feel cheap and gimmicky, only when compared it's predecessors.
