That cabin is as much a monument to your dad as it is a testament to the hard work you both put into it and the beauty of the design that you made together. Every time you look at those upstairs windows; or enjoy the breeze through the gables, you'll think of him and be glad for him talking you into them. What a great guy. I can imagine your daughter bringing her friends and later her own kids and showing them the pennies, having fun times in the cabin and telling stories about her grandpa. It is a gorgeous build and should give many years of sleepovers, vacations, relaxing weekends or whatever. But regardless of why you go, you'll always remember that amazing time with your Dad. I've admired him since the first video I watched and thought how lucky you were to get to spend so much time with him.

It was just my thoughts today, it is the circle of life and sometimes the wheels fall off, it can derail us, leave us feeling destitute. Stellar video and cabin! I must say that the wagon wheel looks amazing when centered on the vertical support beam on the loft. It really becomes a focal point and to me appears like a compass face representing the history of your family and their influence on you in this build. I can imagine it incorporated with rustic cedar branches as part of a railing. I feel it would be much more of a focal point than a light fixture. Just my .02.
