@@TheSandersonCollector Lol. I'm no stranger to collecting in general. My current Sanderson collection includes Four leather-bounds, Stormlight 1-3 UK Version, and the us paper covers I read first read through. I guess it's just how far you've taken your passion that amazes me. Your hobby resulted in probably the best archive of these books. Even though people wont ask what these small details are, it's nice knowing that you'll have them preserved. I get this weird idea of you showing up on "Pawn Stars" to explain a seller actually has a reprint.

The blue TWOK, and other Stormlight hardcovers in that style, are definitely the best looking! Also, I'm guessing WOR volume 1 cuts off at part 3 and volume 2 starts from part 4?

It appears that volume 1 ends with chapter 51, and volume 2 starts with chapter 52. Chapters 52-58 are in volume 2 before the end of part 3, and the next set of interludes. Even with that split, volume 1 is decently thicker than volume 2, having all of part 3 in volume 1 would make it quite unbalanced.

Question: I'm thinking of buying the UK edition of Stormlight. I like it how the UK edition split the book in 2. I assume Gollancz did that because 1200+ page may be too much for one book. But I would like to know what the difference is on the inside. Did the UK edition change some of the original US vocabularies and phrases and what have you? Or is the UK Edition pretty much the same as the original US?

Thanks! This video is really helpful for getting the whole series in the same edition. I started reading the Wheel of Time series in an old Orbit paperback edition, but around book 9 I couldn't find any more copies in that same edition, so I had to buy the whole series again in a different one. I don't want to make that mistake again.

@@TheSandersonCollector I'm cleaning house and wanted to bring them to a secondhand store, but then I remembered this comment. I have parts 0,1,2,3,4,5,6, 8, 12,13 in that 2014 Orbit paperback edition. 0-6 are read and discoloured, but none of them have folds or tears. If you want (some of) them and are willing to pay for shipping (from the Netherlands), let me know. If not, no problem. Then they'll be leaving the house somewhere next month.

How big are the small hardback SA when compared to the small Dawnshard and Edgedancer that came out in the US?

The small UK Hardcover SA are a bit taller than the US pocket hardcovers, I estimate just under an inch taller.

Oh, hard dislike that Dawnshard is not case wrapped. But the Stormlight split hardcovers are great! I need to get WoR asap.

The best place I've found, in the US, to get foreign editions is BookDepository. They claim to offer free shipping to a ton of countries.

Do any of the hardcovers has the colour art? If so, which ones?

Nope. It's the same illustrations (black and white) that you'll see in the US Tor hardcovers. The color illustrations are exclusive to the 10th anniversary leatherbound, to the best of my knowledge.

Does the uk hardcovers have illustrations like us tor hardcover

Yes. Not the special color illustrations like the leatherbound, but it has everything the regular Tor edition has.

Yes I do, lol. I have several bookcases of (almost all sci-fi/fantasy) books in my bedroom, mostly for reading. I enjoy authors such as Brian McClellan, Brian Staveley, Becky Chambers, V. E. Schwab, and lots more.
