NEW Unitronic MQB Dogbone Engine Mount install & Impressions // BMP Tuning

We installed Unitronic's all-new Dogbone Mount on our MK8 GTI last week to get rid of any remaining movement that metal dogbone mount inserts wouldn't get rid of.
NOTE: This car has an insane amount of NVH (noise/vibration/harshness) due to the BFI stage 3 engine and trans mount. So from our perspective, the noise and vibration difference was minimal.

034's Pendulum Mount w/Upper & Lower Inserts + their 65a Pucks works very well. I'm certain, this was done to promote the sales of this product; but, it's truly not any better for certain. With already having BFI Motor/Trans mounts installed all you needed was STICKIER tires. It's a FWD platform and we understand that - Hard acceleration from a stop is foolish w/o being on a track with slicks. Recommendation: Obtain a Throttle Booster, and ease into acceleration. Principle: Slow absolute traction is quicker than slipping down the road 👍

Im less concerned with traction, I actually enjoy less traction more tbh - we are currently though testing all sorts of items as its quite fun and helps other MK8 owners and MQB owners decide what might work or not work for them. We have already removed this set up as we now have the full replacement Subframe from Verkline installed on the vehicle. (For what its worth, Im fairly certain with our BFI Stage 3 mounts we could run 0 dogbone for a bit without much cause for alarm)

Weird question but do you have any issues running that windshield banner with the front assist sensor? Found you on Facebook mk8 group love the car!

with all the sensors they have it does throw some errors. We have had a couple local cars in the shop that we have been able to trim them where it doesn't throw codes though!

Did you gain any improvement on the engines tourge, or HP, after mounting the dog bone?

We haven't had a stock setup on the car in over a year and compared to what was on it prior to the install there wouldn't have been much of a difference there. But if performance is what your after, this definitely helps put the power to the ground!

I heard that some people with the ECE dogbone mount had the polyurethane melt. Could these have that same problem?

Ive actually never heard of that happening, but there have been a TON of poly dogbones in the past without issue, so I doubt you'd have one with this one.

It wasn't melting, the resin was not cured properly. It'll look the same as melting obviously.
