Transcript- Greetings, my fellow Trailblazers! Today, we’ve got some massive updates on the upcoming version 2.7 character banners in Honkai Star Rail. So, buckle up, and let’s dive right in!
First off, let me tell you about version 2.7 banners. It’s highly expected that in version 2.7, phase 1, we will see none other than Sunday as the featured 5-star character, and in phase 2, we’ll have Tingyun. The buzz is real, so let’s break it down!
Sunday is set to be a 5-star Imaginary character following the Harmony path. And here’s the exciting part: according to the latest info from Team Mew, Sunday will be a game-changing support character. He’ll be able to advance allies' actions while storing any excess Energy generated by his team. Now, what does that mean? It seems that Sunday’s kit allows allies to overflow their Energy beyond the usual limit, much like how the Harmony Trailblazer lets the team deal massive Super Break damage.
But that’s not all. The rumor mill suggests that Sunday might absorb this extra Energy for himself and unleash it through his Ultimate ability. If that’s true, Sunday could be the first-ever character in Honkai Star Rail capable of harnessing excess Energy from allies-and that’s a huge deal!
Now, if Sunday truly does absorb Energy, this could make his Ultimate charge up much faster, especially when paired with characters who have lower Energy costs. Imagine the synergy! His playstyle could revolve around gathering energy quickly, setting him up as an incredible Harmony support unit.
But here’s the twist: originally, we were expecting Mr. Reca to make his appearance in version 2.7. However, according to the latest updates, plans have completely changed. Unfortunately, Reca won’t be part of this patch after all.
Now, let’s shift our focus to version 2.7, phase 2, and talk about Tingyun. She’s shaping up to be a 5-star Fire character following the Nihility path. Recent leaks suggest that she has the ability to transform into a monster and, like Moze, leave the battlefield. Her kit is expected to revolve around Break Effect and Super Break mechanics, which, as we’ve seen with other Break Effect units, can be incredibly powerful when used in the right team comps. With the ability to deal massive Super Break damage and provide crucial support, Tingyun is definitely someone to keep an eye on!
And that’s the scoop on the version 2.7 character banners. There’s still no word on any rerun banners just yet, but don’t worry-I’ll keep you all updated the moment we get more information.

@@meowblaziken5634 "overkill especially with hmc" her being erudition is only good for specific content, unlike firefly. besides, lingsha does a LOT of aoe fire and shes a break sustainer, wouldnt THAT be overkill? considering firefly is already insanely broken on her own and applies fire weakness... besides, she could just have normal break efficiency without adding weakness, but they dropped it to 50%, thats half as much as firefly if she didnt have any other fire teammates (but she does, so its INSANELY more broken)

And even if they don't, i have more than enough teams able to fully clear endgame as it is (Monoquantum, Jingliu, Acheron, FF, Feixiao), i am sure i can manage without this bloke.
