We received two limited 5-star Geo female characters in Fontaine, Navia and Chiori, and it seems like we are getting another one in the early patches of Natlan. Yes, Hoyoverse will introduce a new 5-star Geo character in Natlan, and according to the latest info from hxg diluc, the upcoming version 5.1 update will feature another female character as the next 5-star Geo unit. They have also shared some details about her kit and playstyle, so let's take a look at what we have got.
According to the info shared by hxg diluc and Full stop chan, we can expect her to debut in version 5.1 banners, and she might be the only 5-star character released in that patch. So, for people like me who were waiting for Xbalanque, I guess we will have to wait a bit more. According to the info, she uses a tall female character model just like Navia, Ningguang, and Chiori.
They further said that she will have an important support-type kit that will be very valuable during Natlan updates and that she will be one of the most important characters from a meta-perspective. The rumors suggest that Hoyoverse might introduce some new gameplay mechanics for her, or her kit might have gimmicks that will make her an important support unit for Natlan or all existing suitable characters.
According to rumors, she can provide shields for her party members, making her the first 5-star Geo unit with a similar ability or team role as Zhongli. As we all know, Zhongli has been one of the best support units, providing the strongest shields for the team ever since he was released in version 1.1. As one of the oldest characters, there hasn't been a single 4-star or 5-star unit that could rival Zhongli in terms of shield strength or survivability. We do have some characters who can provide shields for their party members, like Noelle or Baizhu, for example, but none of them can compete with Zhongli when it comes to shield strength.
If all the info about this new 5-star Geo support unit is true, she might be the first alternative to Zhongli. There's also some new information about Xbalanque's release date. In one of my previous videos, I said that Xbalanque's release was pushed to the later half of Natlan, but I didn't mention exactly when. According to the new information shared by Ahq and project Enka, Xbalanque will be released around Columbina's release. Columbina is the next Fatui who will be playable in Natlan, and she is expected to be released in version 5.6, like Arlecchino was released in version 4.6. So, based on this information, it is expected that Xbalanque will be released either in version 5.5 or version 5.7, with better chances of being released in 5.7.
That being said, there's still quite a lot of time left before he's released, so you can save pulls for other characters you like in the first half and start saving for Columbina and Xbalanque.

Just capitalise on the shields and the shards... The shards can expire faster and explode, like dendro cores, except they deal elemental damage depending on the type of shard it is. The shields can explode when broken, like Noelles C4, and deal that type of elemental damage. No need for extra reactions...

It doesn't hurt to have another good shielder as we need 2 teams for the abyss. But yes, I prefer that she doesn't necessarily make a stronger shield than Zhongli, instead introduce something different. Perhaps a shield healer type combo. Mono geo could really use that role consolidation in one character.

You going to need more than 2 teams later. Having a character with shield as good as zhongli is just as good as having 2 zhongli. Not bad at all from meta perspective, no reason to hate her tbh, even if her shield is slightly stronger than zhongli.

Or at least, I feel that it should be that way. I'm not a zhongli owner anyway, I try to learn to dodge and I feel he'll make me more skill issue than I already am. I just want her to be a sidegrade at most, not a powercreep, that's all.

I was hoping for a Gorou upgrade that heals for a Navia Furina team, but at the same time I really don't mind a Zhongli powercreep because I've never gotten him. We need a qiqi sized geo character whose burst has a drag feature. Tap for burst, drag to choose one of your other 3 team members burst or skill but it’s converted to geo. So she’d be a catalyst user to let her magic make sense. Their skill would be a geo dmg buffer. Her rotation would be like this; Skill first to buff geo dmg for 18 seconds, go through your other teams skills or bursts, and rotate back to this new character to use burst for ultimate enhanced geo dmg. Using her skill again would result in dmg instead of buffing IF used within the 18 seconds duration of her burst. Her name is Chi Chi, her parents are from Liyue but they moved to Natlan for some reason and they were a big fan of Qiqi so they names their child Chi Chi.
