The Qing mallet is criminally underrated, if you are able to consistently do see-throughs, you can launch 4 point heavy attacks so often that your enemy is practically always staggered.

My problem with the Qing Mallet (and every 'new' staff besides the Fanged Cyan) is that they are *carbon-copies* of pre-existing weapons.

Yup, sure did 😅 The Qing Mallet & Tri-Point spear are easily two of the Best staves in the game! Honestly, I'd say having the "Accessibility" as a criteria directly affecting the rankings for a Best Staves tier list is just fundamentally flawed. But of course thats just my personal opinion! The chitin staff effect does work, you are looking at the green health that you normally get from focus. What's said on the staff des is that you get hp back after you land the actual heavy. You can see that in your own video after you summoned your clones for the example. A a low amount sure but its a extra after you actually land the hit.

The Dark Iron Staff can actually be made in the first run if you get the staff needed to upgrade it with the Bull king materials

It is a ng+ weapon because even when I had the staff needed and the materials it only became unlocked in ng+.

If you get the OG wukong amour with the dark iron staff with all the relics maxed and defense curios the staff can do like 300 damage

Tri-Point spear not S-tier is a crime. That spear literally easy mode that stay OP even in challenge/gauntlet mode. The flying swords, thrust stance buff, combine with retreat is just broken that it deserve the hard accessibility. Qing Mallet is ridiculously OP also but I can see how it require player with higher skill to be efficient, it's the most used staff for hardest Gauntlet challenges level

Depends on which NG cycle you are on, tri-point spear's advantage of stunning enemies diminishes on higher NG cycle since all the bosses become very tanky. Plus you can't switch to smash stance which sometimes provides better see-through mechanics, having an option of switching to smash stance can actually deliver much more damage in a lot of scenarios.

I love pairing the tri point double edge spear with the Yaksha set and the see through curios one of if not my favorite ways to play in this game

The Jingubang with the Pilgram armor is nice, you can run around before a boss fight to get 3 focus points without fighting anyone making it easy to get the 4th at the start of the fight and smash away his health bar. You can also switch it out after you get 3 points if you prefer another armor. Late in NG+ I switched over to the Fuban Staff, hard not to like landing crit attacks over and over again.

Also both spider and centipede are different from the chitin. They still have the effect of getting hp from landing the the hit but now it based the amount of focus before hand. And that focus must be charged by hits and other ways, not from holding down the heavy button. Those don't count as real focus.

Qing mallet carried my ass through the relic holders challenge. And the reward was totally worth it, the fanged cyan staff is truly the best weapon for fun imo. Qing mallet slaps so hard because focus points are hp also since dumping heavies heals you based on focus used

How are you using rock solid and still turning invisible during the cyan staff fight?

It’s an ability in the thrust stance section where when you do a tactical retreat, you’ll be invincible for a short period of time. They should have made cloud step passive again like Wukong

The turning invisisble comes from perfectly seeing through your enemies attack I beleive

How do you turn into the great sage 4 focus point smash 💥 I have the armor the staff and I beat the game multiple times but it doesn’t do it when I charge up it does the super smash when he swings the staff around his head like a helicopter 🚁 but I want the great sage the one that slams directly down hitting you 3 or 4 times 😅

They also read the ability wrong, it states clearly it gives health after you land the charged heavy. Not just on the start of the charge which gives you focus health instead of the regen from the staff.

Bruh it doesn’t make any sense to have accessibility as a factor in games like this. Obviously all the late game weapons will be less accessible, and then your own bias shows heavily. Also Qing Mallet and Tri-point Double Edged Spear could/probably should be S tier. Ignore accessibility.
