I haven't tried any of the other tools but the Ryobi Nail Gun has changed my life for the better. Amazing tool!

Overall I'm very pleased my Ryobi tools. I have about a dozen different 18V devices, and no matter the vintage, they will all run on the new 18V lithium batteries. As for warranty, I broke the drive end on my Ryobi cordless sawzall a few weeks back. To be fair, I was cutting up old waterlogged floating dock parts with a long blade, and I was working the tool very hard. I had no receipt, but called the service number. They looked up the purchase date based on the serial number on the tool, and advised that it was covered under warranty, and my local tool repair shop would do the work no charge. A week later my tool was back, and read to go with new parts installed.

Hello from South Wales, UK. A very well delivered and level headed appraisal of the new range of Ryobi HP brushless tools. I especially liked and agree with the comment @0:56 about how they are a little bit above the cheapest it gets, but way higher than that in terms of quality.

I do apartment maintenance work and have multiple Ryobi tools that I use everyday and for years. My co-workers are tool snobs and are constantly getting their Milwaki/DeWalts/Makita tools stolen from their vehicles. Mine are never touched. I do own the more costly brands but only use them for home projects.

That’s hilarious, looking through most of the comments about Ryobi it’s always “I use my Dewalt and Milwaukee on site and have Ryobi at home” but I see you reversed that logic, ha ha.

Completely agree. I just built a couple of raised beds and got a lot of use from my drill, impact driver, and saw.I have to part ways on the impact wrench, that thing is a toy. The claimed torque is crazy. I tightened a lug nut to 95 lb-ft using a calibrated torque wrench and that puny 3/8" impact wrench could not loosen it.

I’m thinking of buying the he Ryobi One+ 10 piece set. Do you suggest those ? I’m just a new home owner and DYI. Or should I look into the HP models?
@chancewallace22583 жыл бұрын
The one + are great for first time home owners. Get the set cheap for 200 and of/when they break through the years replace them with the brushless models one by one.

I love my Ryobi hand-held power tools, I really recommend them for DIY work. However I bought their miter saw (10") and was pretty disappointed. I returned it and got a Dewalt and am much happier (though instead of roughly $140, I ended up spending about $220).

I work in a jail/police dept. I use ryobi cut off tool to slot security bits that have years of paint on then so I can use flathead screw driver. I started replacing all security bits on a door when I work on locks with SS ones and remove before painting now.

I am not a fan that they did away with the magnetic tray and bit holder on the drill. That little detail is a deal breaker for me. The rest of the line-up is interesting.

Wish that cutoff tool took a bigger standard size wheel. Those goofy 3" are not available.
@Pro1er3 жыл бұрын
Of course the cut-off wheels are available, they are the standard size for pneumatic cut-off tools. If you need a bigger wheel buy an angle grinder.

I really like ryobi accessories like lights, fans, vacuums and nail guns, but drills or saws I cant really recommend, I owned a kit and all the tools burned out the second time I used them, all of them, I still buy ryobi accessories but no drills or saws.

Great video, really appreciate your presentation! with that being said it really made me cringe when you had the Reciprocating saw in your hand with your finger on the trigger while touching the blade with your other hand. Thanks for the Information on the new HP line.

Just so everyone knows, the new compact drill driver is like you know 30% smaller 30% lighter and also 15% LESS powerful than the previous drill driver. 400 inches of torque versus 460 inches of torque. Do your research peeps don't replace last year's tool with this year's inferior one.
@Pro1er3 жыл бұрын
Why is the new one inferior?
