Careful. I use my Ryobi 4 1/2" grinder for more than 5 years in contractor's jobs and is still performing well as the first day. I am impressed because I never expected that it will last that long. I see many contractors working with Ryobi tools and they say that they like how well they perform when the task is not too heavy.
@kundetjenesten4 жыл бұрын
@@edriv3722 I'm happy for you! My 5" Ryobi grinder was a huge disappointment, it overheated even on small jobs, and was actually the tool that made me get into another brand instead (angle grinders are my #1 tool, besides the welding machine). Besides that, I never had an issue with any Ryobi tools, most were given away to my mom where they still work just fine. @mixwell1983 That battery sounds way too small for a leaf blower, even a small one! Blowers and chainsaws are notorious for eating batteries for breakfast, lunch, dinner and as snacks in between... Though I have no doubt the blower will work just fine!
@edriv37224 жыл бұрын
@@kundetjenesten it looks like 5" size is a bad vibe for grinders. I got the 5" 20V Dewalt and I feel is not powerful enough. It does the job but the old corded Ryobi do it faster. Maybe 110v against 20v? I do the ilogical comparison because the 20v Dewalt 6.5" circular saw cuts wood faster than the Ridgid 10" Tablesaw...... So I expected the same performance on the grinder.

Nothing is perfect but had been using my boss's orange 6.5 and it stands up but it doesn't feel quite as "solid" as the orange. Overall my green tools have been up to any job I've put em to. The batteries have a good life and the other companies have a hard time beating that price point. I am keeping my eye on yellow though as they are starting to manufacture some of their line in America again. People that do these comparisons to market for a given brand always pull shenanigans. It's their job to make their brand look good. If it won't make their brand look good, they won't risk doing it. But I give it to Ryobi that they've been keeping their promise for keeping that pod style battery so anyone who bought their cordless tools, even when they are NiCad powered can keep using their Ryobi tools. Don't know how many customers Ryobi would lose if they changed the pod style battery platform. I've moved on from Dewalt after their 12V, 14.4, and 18V NiCad tools. Everything of mine doesn't have to be black and yellow. It took me a few years to have a rainbow. While teal is my primary, I've also got black and yellow, grey, orange, and red (M12 and M18).
