I don't know why but I really like this cast. Seattle is still probably my favorite season to watch all the way through, but this might be my favorite cast of characters.... they had their friction points but they didn't have the over the top drama of some other seasons (Puck, Stephen, Ruthie etc.) and it wasn't overloaded with sex like the later seasons.

To me this was my favorite season, and I stopped watching the show shortly after. These older cast members were real, and not just all about the drunken hookups of later seasons. Well, except for David, but Tokyo seems like a changed man.

Julie was legit a little girl and I imagine now she is probably married with a family now. Jamie, I think its just the gray in his hair and that daddy vibe…they all do look older but they all look like they’re aging gracefully

I just love Melissa,I wanna hang out with her. I didnt truly appreciate how fine Jamie was until Battle of Sexes but him and David still are in a DILF kinda way lol. Kelly always did and still does just radiate such a boss energy. I was 12 during the original,Love this cast ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I was 12 during the original too! Coming into the 2000’s, also coming of age… I remember looking up to this cast so much and wondering if one day I’d be cool enough to be considered for a cast position…and although I was a hot mess and likely would have been considered great tv drama, I’m glad no one decided to exploit my misery in such a public fashion i.e like E!’s show Pretty Wild. I am sure Alexis Neiers will never live down that junkie felon persona that was displayed across that particular TV show. The casts of the Real World have been able to go through their lives being relatively private. They weren’t watched like hawks like some later reality shows casts had the experience of with tabloids and paps.

Matt really hasn't changed a bit. Melissa just has longer hair. The rest you can tell they are older. I like Julie's look now. She looks older but in a cool way..hard to explain. She still looks very good and I think in a sense better. Might be her attitude is better nowadays and it shows? I don't know.

When you think about it, from The Real World - New York 1992 cast all the way to Real World Back to New York cast in 2001 were all Generation-X. Millennials didn't start popping up until Real World Chicago and Real World Los Vegas in 2002 and I remember right after that I stopped watching The Real World because by then I was in college and didn't care to see people my age on the show. Never watched any new Real World cast since as I also thought MTV got too repetitive with it.

I didn't like how Melissa and Danny were mad with Julie about something that happened like a 100 years ago. Just let it go. Julie is once again the odd one out. There is no growth so far between those two, we will see what happens. So glad to see how much Tokio (David) has grown. He is the most changed out of all the cast.

Why should they have let it go? That ended their friendship with her, and there was no apology or contact of any kind for decades. I appreciated that they very calmly laid out the case and didn't back down when she cried (which I thought was an attempt to pull sympathy). It's like Danny said: it takes years to get someone's trust back when it's lost.

They don’t have to let go after she not only never apologized, but flat out denied it 22 years later. That was her chance to make things right, but she chose to play dumb and deny any wrong doing. Immediately after all this went down 22 years ago, other Real World and Road Rules cast members stated that Julie’s mother pretended to represent them as an agent too, and would call their scheduled speaking engagements to say they wouldn’t be able to do it after all, but that Julie was available to fill in. So not only was everything Danny and Julie said true, but many others came forward and spoke about it at length in interviews and in the old MTV forums. Julie even defended her mother’s actions back then, so there’s no denying who did what and who was behind all the missed opportunities. Her faking amnesia doesn’t magically erase all our memories for those who were contemporaries back in the day, and watched this play out in real time.
