Thanks for sharing, I at one time did this sort of work, 76 years old now. Thank you for sharing the verses of scripture.

Find the best one you can afford. All old cars will come with built in "work" to be done. Now, and over time. Enjoy!

As always you do a tremendous job! My compliments on all of it! If I decide to go back stock with my interior this series is the go to manual on how to do it! You have been a God send for me with my 48! I have much more to do but you have already covered so much of it. Thank you again and God Bless You sir!

fabricwarehouse.com for the gray stripe but I believe they are now sold out. Gray was particular to Stylemasters, the Fleet models had tan materials.

They might manufacture the carpet to fit aftermarket trans tunnels for auto transmission and V8?

Hey Jay, good job again. I commented on your 65 Corvair and saw the 48 Chevy interior. I've been doing a little upholstry myself for a few years. A man get a used machine and play around and finish up a preety good job. I saw you had a small pully on your Juki, did you get a smaller bottom pully to slow down the speed ? If not, a smaller pully makes a GREAT additionto slow them down !
@TheJayhawker2 жыл бұрын
Hi, and thanks for checking out the videos. Yes, I bought a much smaller pulley for the motor and that helped quite a lot. I need to play around with the "clutch?" and linkage as well; it's way to easy to go from idle to top fuel dragster mode.

Poor carpet fit: That's why I purchased a piece of bulk carpet for my '47 Ford and custom fit it myself complete with binding.

Hi. I wanted to ask what material you used for the pockets where the wire goes through? Thanks

It's the cheapest cotton linen I can find. If you ever go to Hobby Lobby they usually have it along the back wall next to their foam and batting products.

I wish it was mine! This car was last tagged in 1989 and was brought to me to get back on the road again. You can go to the playlist on my channel and watch the entire series of repairs that we did. Thanks for watching.

I had a chance to buy a 4dr '48 Chevy many years ago. It was complete and I wanted it but being a family man meant no dice:(. Would have loved to rebuild it and make a beautiful family car but be that as it may, Yahweh had other plans :)

Those carpets never fit good from day one. Always lose and poor quality. Often the master cylinder opening was under the carpet by the pedals. So you couldn’t glue it down. I would have stuck it under the sill plates. If he needs to add brake fluid ,just lift the sill plate. This carpet is not your fault or the manufacturer. It just was not a priority in the day. Nice work otherwise. 😊
