NEW URBN Surf Advanced Barrel & Turns Session RAW FOOTAGE (AND TIPS)

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
- If the Wind is bad (like it was in this vid), they only run the barrel session for 30 mins...
- In the Advanced turns session they start with a weaker wave and gradually make it steeper and bigger throughout the session.
- If possible, avoid catching the first and last waves of the set as they are the weakest, the last wave also gets cross-waves and bumps sometimes ( 1:26 is an example of last wave of the set)
- Phone cameras are allowed but nothing else, they made me takedown my camera once they noticed.
- The water is cold :)
- There is board racks to leave your board for the day if you are coming and going between sessions (free), i left my board there and came back four hours later and was all good!

hey Luke, going there soon and I was wondering would you reccomend a board with more or less litres than what you usually surf and if you would recommend epoxy for the pool.

I went with the board I felt best on, my main shortboard! The wave is easy to paddle onto so you don’t need lots of litres. However if you are surfing anything below the barrel level, I would recommend something with a little extra volume as some of the sections are a little fat! Enjoy it, try not to catch the first or last waves of the set!
