Section 301 covers almost every product, not only textiles and electronics, it covers literally everything ever dropshipped. I have looked through the PDF list of section 301. And an Identification number is required, so you need to give your customers Social Security Number as they are the IOR (importer of record) and no customer will give you this information. Yes, for customs and duties you HAVE to give a number, name is not enough. So this might be more serious than let on. And unfortunately not ALL products meet these consumer standards

That is funny. Just last week in Chile, a new legislation has been passed and is put officially in motion the tributary law: - Any purchase below 45 USD has to pay it tax fee (19% additional the total purchase). Until now too many people bought in Temu, Shein and Aliexpress tax free, only shipping cost. - For those shady or not registered businesses: All bank entities are forced to report to our IRS if there are more than 50 or more deposits movements in a month, or over 100 within a semester.

Yeah seems like a lot of governments aren't liking the dropshipping model but it's not our fault that they keep taxing the hell out of their local companies = raise product prices = lower conversion rates = lose lose situation. Wow 19% tax on items below $45, surely it should be the other way round sigh. UK has the threshold at £135 sale price and companies have to pay the VAT tax for any orders below £135. If the order value is above £135 then the customer pays for customs but the parcel value is less than £135 as we pay less on AliExpress.

@@theecomzone In Turkey; the government drop the de minimis rule from 150Euros to 30Euros and this literally finished buying online from Aliexpress for Turkey. Even Aliexpress sellers are not wanting to send products to Turkey anymore because Turkish customs make clearance difficult. It is because the local shops and manufacturers are forcing the governments because they cannot compete with China prices. Same at the UStoo I think. Local e-commerce giants like Amazon and Walmart is probably behind this because Shein and Temu cut the Amazon and Walmart profits. Once this legislation passes Amazon FBA sellers will increase their prices rapidly because there worn't be Temu and Shein anymore as a competitor. The US Citizens will pay between 5x-10x more to buy the same products.

Nothing to worry about now but definitely test different countries just in case the US does pass this regulation. But even if it does pass it may take a while for it to actually kick in. I still don't understand how they will sort through all the parcels coming into the US. Good luck with your new products! Make sure to find complementary products to build a branded niche store.

Through i am late to the party of drop shipping or ecom i will make it big for sure also in india now its not easy to direct ship from AliExpress and it has never been easier as indian consumers are different from than most of top countries still people doing it. Hey man, love your content! In my experience, FB ads, being an interruption marketing method, only works great if the product is very eye-catching and have high conversion rates (problem solvers). Things like jewelry, clothes, home decor usually won't work well since they have lower CTR. I saw you talking about these niches a lot. What's your experience with promoting style-oriented products on FB?

Yup the only problem is businesses have to pay UK VAT which is 20% of your sale below £135. It's hefty asf and definitely reduces profits.

Anything above $50. Anything less you'll struggle to make a profit especially when scaling unless your product goes stupid viral and people just buy.

Digital Ecommerce is safe, so it's something to look into or just dropship to other markets. I don't think they will implement these regulations soon though even if they do pass as I can only imagine how much work is involved in actually executing it.
