Opel/Vauxhall really needs to start putting the side blinkers in the mirrors I think

@@Djeseret Why?
@Djeseret4 жыл бұрын
@@rryankellyy 1. An Indicator in the mirrors is very fragile, sensitive and vulnerable in a small collision which often occurs with mirrors. The Indicator can not be replaced or repaired - at least in most... cars, Instead, you are forced to change the entire mirror and... due to all the technology that is being built into the mirrors today, it becomes extremely expensive to replace a mirror. And completely unnecessary because the rest of the technology is usually not damaged by a minor collision with something. It is no coincidence that electrically retractable mirrors are common - it is necessary... 2. It's almost unique, only a few cars have indicators there, being unique or very unusual is very important in today's situation, not one in the crowd. This turn signal has been an important part of the design since Omega 1994. It's a brand signal, you can immediately see that it is an Opel among hundreds of others. 3. The eyes first look at the headlights of a car, then a turn signal is best seen if it is at the same height as the headlights and as close to them as possible, you have to move the gaze further back and up to see the mirror, it requires extra attention, it is unnatural. 4. An Indicator in the front fender / Wing can be seen from all directions even almost from behind which is not possible with a mirror. 5. Without this turn signal indicator in the fender/ Wing it would look empty and strange, many have introduced a decoration right there, a ”fake indicator” because without the indicator it looks strange. Instead of a fake, you have a real one here. 6. The only reasons that Indicator in the mirrors exists is that an Indicator in the mirrors is cheaper to manufactur and It was Mercedes that started and everyone else followed because it became a symbol of luxury when it was Mercedes who invented it. It is cheaper to manufactur because an element in the manufacturing process disappears, less material is required and no hole in the front fender / Wing needs to be made. Everything includes in the mirror as a finished unit - it is significantly cheaper in the manufacturing process. And the last reason is that everyone thinks...! it's the best because everyone has it - It's fashion... No one really knows anything about it.

The shape of this Vauxhall Corsa E looks a bit old-fashioned now which was a heavily revised version of the Vauxhall Corsa D that debuted back in 2006. Vauxhall are now planning to replace the Corsa E in 2018/19 with a completely new model which will be Corsa F.

I've driven 2 fiestas in the past 3 years, one was secondhand (2009 diesel with 90 hp) which I drove for 2.5 years and one brand spanking new one (also diesel but 75 hp) as a temporary car until my company car arrived which I drove for a couple of months. And while i can't really speak for the vauxall i can say that the fiesta's quality of finish was meh at best, even the new one rattled left and right. Especially on slightly rougher roads there were very audible noises coming from everywhere (like where the seatbelt disappears into the B-pillar, the speakers, the glovebox,... etc). These noises were even more apparent when I finally got my Audi A3, no matter what road surface you're driving on it doesn't make as much as a squeek on the inside. So ford fiesta: fun little car, I enjoyed having mine (even though I had quite a few problems with it over the years...) but don't expect quality.

Thierry Van Tillo The good thing about the Corsa though as you will see in this video and as I can testify myself, is that it has good quality. It's equally reliable as well.

I love the new Corsa. I own 2 corsa b. one car and the other bukkie. I love my opel corsas dearly. They have never let me down. Opel quality is just as good as any other German car on the Market. I also own a 2004 1.6 Ford fiesta and I love my fiesta just as much as my Opels. I love both Ford and opel to bits. Both manufacturers make absolutely brilliant cars.

I have never understood about the soft touch on the dashboard, especially these days where everyone even the passenger has to put on the seat belt.
@authenticmax63509 жыл бұрын
***** Pretty much yeah. I don't really care much about the dashboard because as soon as I sit on the driver's seat, all I am touching is the steering wheel and the gear lever and occasionally few dials and switches. I have owned plenty of cars in my life and I have only touched the dashboard only during wiping the dust off it. All I care about is the way the car drives and how much fun the car is. I do care about the color of the interior. I hate the two tone colors that cars have now a days. Have you noticed KIA's interior ? Its quite good. But if I get to choose between driving a KIA and a Mitsubishi, I'd probably drive the Mitsubishi. But I do like KIA, don't get me wrong, they've come a long way in quite short amount of time.

Neither. I see it as American
@myolmanzadustman83838 жыл бұрын
Why would anyone think it was German?! It's been American-owned for *90 years* Also, GM bought it 6 years before they bought Opel so it's never been German.
@WarthDader748 жыл бұрын
Vauxhall/Opel is from Germany sir, it has always been. Adam Opel was the founder of the company. It is cars built in great German quality.
@juandef41158 жыл бұрын
WarthDader74 Vauxhall was British. Even Vauxhall takes its name of the part of London named after Vauxhall. In fact Vauxhall iron works. Founded by Englishman Alexander Wilson in 1857. Vauxhall started manufacturing cars after they did cranes in 1903. They used to be based in Bedford.. Bedford was another arm of Vauxhall until they were sold to general motors. Opel started off as German. General Motors is American and is the parent company of both. Hence why Vauxhall and Opel are the same these days. Also, Holden is a subsidiary of General Motors, which is why the Holden monaro V8 has a Vauxhall badge in the UK.. Also, Chevrolet is GM too. So no, Adam Opel has sweet fuck all to do with Vauxhall humble beginnings in England. Sir!!!!
@WarthDader748 жыл бұрын
juan def Vauxhall cars are exactly the same as Opel cars, but with a different badge and the steering wheel at the wrong side. They are designed and developed in Germany. The production takes place in Germany and Spain. I should also mention that the Vivaro models are Renaults with Opel/Vauxhall badges on them, and current Combo models are Fiats with Opel/Vauxhall badges. You sir, are talking about in what way the situation was more than a hundred years back, while I am talking about the situation nowadays and some decades back in time. If it wasn't for Adam Opel, none of the Vauxhalls of today would exist.
