I'm insulted. 🤣 I love this car! It's sporty like a camaro, but without the downside of small cabin of the camaro. This is the best car I ever owned and even 10 years later, every one that sees my arrive in this car is amazed by it. To me, it's a good car, and it's my favorite car.

Don’t be. They didn’t even use the beetle Dune model to do jumps. 😂 AND It’s not even a turbo model. Lol easy 7.5 or 8 ifs they used the 2.0t dsg or manual. Even the interior is slightly better because of the of the interior gauges.

I kind of like that they dont make them anymore and theyre not overly popular(although i could see that changing), wish they made an AWD version. Personally i like most 2door cars, and the beetle is perfect example. I want a 2.0 turbo from this gen, one of my dream cars(im poor and realistic lol)

@@will.dornon that would have been sick, I almost managed to get a 2013 beetle with the 2.5 inline 5, and 6speed manual. 100k and was $8k... I missed the deal tho. Was thinking of doing turbo/exhaust since there's tons of aftermarket parts for that engine since it's in golf/Passat too.

First off I don’t know why you had the 1.8 and not the 2.0 TSI R-Line...! That car isn’t designed for 4 people anyway. You didn’t talk about the size of the boot as well. Do some real test next time... FYI it’s the shape of the Original VW you Chowder Heads...! It’s Not a Beetle...?

1.8L and 2.5L and are great I’ve owned them both. The 2.0L is the best one to get. I would not be caught dead in the 1.4L car. That’s way to underpowered and pathetic.

People say that all the time because the first generation new Beetle had the flower vase. Ever since then people say it's feminine. However if you look at the car it's nothing feminine about it with the low roof line, fat tires and huge spoiler in the back it looks rather aggressive especially in black and silver. It has the similar silhouette to the 911 but a bit rounder but nothing but men drive Porsche. People just copy each other an keep repeating the same old thing enough so that they totally destroy the reputation of vehicle.

Yes I have the 2012 beetle turbo in black it's a great looking car. If you buy a beetle you have to get the R line or equivalent 2012 turbo they are the best looking beetles of the current generation.

we have a 2014 Beetle TDI - it's been fantastic, actually. I think it's great fun to drive. It's my wife's car, as I drive a Golf. I think the 5th gear crew were a bit hard on it, TBH. Boo to their findings!

i bought one with a swapped 2.5L and a upgraded turbo. ill tell you right now @ 300WHP in a 2000~lb car is amazing fun for curvy roads and confusing the hell outta people when they realize that this car isnt your sisters flower power mobile anymore.

Volkswagen missed the boat with this one. I know you can only have so many " hot hatches " but along with the more sedate, sensible ones there could have been a 300hp, all wheel drive, suspension and brake fruit, turbocharged WRX challenger! Leave out the back seats, put in a half roll cage and market the go fast set. Maybe call it the 2•0 RS. Yes I am a Beetle tragic!
