Usually on a CD or DVD, also there was this trend lot of games did: You needed to have the original game to install the expansion CD but it came with its own launcher so it was like playing two separate games of the same kind.

if you would of kept good reputation with the brotherhood of steel you could have gotten a microfusion cell and energy cell exploit, they leave free ammo for you in a crate in the corner of their base, and if you travel in and out of the room it refills so you have infinite ammo for energy weapons that you can also sell for caps
