What’s cool is that in this video yeti ran into a character who sold another character into slavery and I bet if he saw this comment he’d still have no idea who it is. And that’s part of the million reasons this game fucking rocks. So many twists and turns. I still learn something new on every playthrough and I’ve played it at least 10 times. Yea the NV cult ruined my love for the game. I would mention playing fo3 or fo4 and there’s always someone like “Those are the worst ones, NV is better!” And idk at some point I got sick of no life nerds telling me how the 2 games I play both “suck”. I had the same experience some how. Played 3 and new vegas back on ps3 but I was more into elder scrolls at the time. Fallout 4 was the one that really grabbed me. I play 76 all the time and Ive beaten 3 and 4. Somehow Ive put very little time into NV. Getting to it now though and its pretty awesome 👍

@@Mcjesus97 With mods that overhaul textures/lighting/animations, it looks pretty great. Must have's: NVSE, kNVSE (this is what allows modern animations), Unofficial patch plus (fixes the bugs that Obsidian didn't get to, prevents crashes, etc) whatever interior/exterior/weather/weapon skin overhauls you like (most have different texture size choices so if you've got a potato there are lower poly, if you've got an i9/4070+, there are ultra 4k/8k packs), 360 movement mod really helps make it feel more modern. kNVSE changed how New Vegas plays and really makes it feel like a decade newer game. I'd look for a video on how to mod for NV in 2023. You'll want to use a mod manager like Vortex/Wrye Bash/etc as installing all of them manually takes forever and if you screw one thing up your game won't launch. All of that said, on Ultra settings (which run fine at 60fps even on my 4yo gaming laptop with a 1660ti) the game really doesn't look that bad, even vanilla. But with 10-15 mods, it's like playing a game that came out a few years ago as opposed to a game that came out 15 years ago. Sounds like a lot of work to play a game, but I promise you it's worth it. One of the best games ever made... You'll get hundreds of hours of content out of the Ultimate Edition with all the DLC.

I played this game 12 years ago and I love how people are just discovering and can enjoy it Ad Victorium Fun fact : this game was fully developed in just 18 months and was made by Obsidian entertainment which employees allot of the creators of the original fallouts 1 and 2 new Vegas is the future of games 1 and 2 and thats how the creators were able to make sure a rich deep story in a short amount of time working with the bugs inherent to the gam engine made by Bethesda was a whole issue in of itself for the team the plan was east coast fallouts would be made by Bethesda themselves and west coast fallouts would be done by obsidian but Obsidian has been to busy for a new fallout game :(

I think we're headed for another video game crash. AAA is untenable. They make pandering stories and cram their games full of time-wasters, battle passes, and MTX's, making sure all of that crap works while the games release broken. I think we're going to see a lot of the major studio's go belly-up, and I honestly think it's the best thing that could happen to gaming in the long run. AA/indie studio's will get their time to shine (not that they don't already, it's just more of a PC gaming thing)

For anyone that played at launch and never went back: re-install it it! It was good prior to 2.0, but 2.0 really made it great. It's not TW3 great, but it's still one of the best western RPG's I've played since Witcher 3

@@user-zg6kb7jf4l Honest Hearts imo is the best DLC in fallout. Just a completely different type of post apocalypse setting and Joshua Graham is one of the best characters in the game. I played a run where I tcl'd immediately to honest hearts with no items or experience and started from there. Ended up with very different perks and stats by the end than I would have normally picked and now fully appreciate the survival stat. (it's better than medicine esp on hardcore)

New Vegas IS Fallout. Dark, gritty, violent, humorous, and everything in between. The storyline, the environment, the choices you can make, the selection of playstyle, it has it all. In my opinion, it is the pinnacle of an open world rpg. Arguably the best ever made. The writing, the voice actors, the pacing.. Just perfect.

How about that your player character moves SO SLOWLY then(?) It is atrocious I think. Cause they have 4-5 extra "perks" then. Shouldnt fking be legal Draw, holster, reload, walk speed (ffs) even the speed you draw a pip-boy is atrocious, and I don't use that word lightly, that is, if the camera isnt shaking from the no-damage grenades. After playing the masterpiece that was Fallout 3, I was utterly unimpressed with NV. Dead money was so bad I actually quit and uninstalled the game, Which I’ve never done to any game. Also FONV is super linear (Go straight to Primm with invisible walls everywhere forcing you to take certain roads). And the game ends so idk why people preach about choice in NV being superior. NV doesn’t even give me the choice to keep playing, Also by far the most boring 1st person Fallout game with majority of it being empty desert lol

Depending on what you’re looking for, I’d only recommend some of them. If you want deep RPG’s with interesting choices, superb writing, and absurd levels of player freedom, go with New Vegas or the original 2 games. If you want a decent open world action fps with the occasional great quest, go with 3 or 4.

I just started playing it recently on the Series X. Originally played it when it came out and can see I’ve forgotten most of it. But yes the graphics are a bit dated but the storyline overall feel of the game is still amazing. To me New Vegas is better than either 3 or 4 (never played the first two).
