For anybody looking for the NCR trooper corpse, it's on the northmost part of the middle loop in the road up to Black Mountain. Follow the road and you can't miss it. Watch for bear traps and falling rocks, and make sure to grab the 357 near him.

S-9 P-1 E-9 C-1 I-7 A-6 L-7 (i might be overcounted here) Get necessary implants, strenght, endurance, agility, luck, subdermal. Perks are slayer, penetrating strike, purifier, luck perks like finess and toughness 2x for that sweet 6 dt combined with implants its 9 Fists are love and hate Lucky shades with 1st recon beret. And here you go jackie chan dps build with insane crit chance (You could try lowering int to 6 for luck 10)

Toughness and Sub-Dermal are a meme. Yeah, cool, you can waste 2 perks and implant slot to reduce an incoming stack by 8 points. Or you can use med-x and ignore flat 25%. Or better yet, you can use med-x, slasher and battle-brew for maximum allowed damage reduction while naked. Do drugs, kids.

@@max7971 yeah DT stops becoming useful by the time you get to OWB because of those 3 chems. and finishing OWB gets you the unique Dr. Mobius scrubs and smart lights which is +20 science, +10 science from a magazine, and at most +18 from temporary intelligence from mentats, party time mentats, and coffee and stuff. so even at 1 intelligence and 1 luck with the lowest starting science of 2 you can get to the 53/50 science needed to learn most of the good jack chem recipes. just get the smart lights buff and fast travel over to jack.

Great build, just one thing that you got wrong, is that you should never put a stat on 10, at most an 9, since you can get implants, even more for this build since you have 9 endurance, you can have every implant so it's a 1+ to all special stats.

My Unarmed build currently: 7 STR 6 PER END 8 CHR 2 INT 5 AGL 7 LCK 7 Perks: Ain't like that now (20% attack speed requires bad karma), Slayer ( 30% attack speed), Piercing Strike (Ignores DT/DR), Solar Powered (+2 STR, +1HP regen), Unstoppable force (strike through blocking opponents), Stone Wall (+5 DT/can't be knocked down from melee and unarmed attacks), Purifier (this is a must when you encounter Deathclaws, Super mutans ect. gives 50% dmg bonus), Paralyzing Palm (optional if you wanna go in V.A.T.S and stun bigger enemies for 30 sec), Super Slam (Knocks enemies on the ground), Implant GRX (slows down everything), Toughness (rank 2, +6 DT total). Weapons: Greased Lightning for the additional attack speed + craft rushing water for another 50% attack speed and Slasher for 25% DR and dmg boost. Implants: Monocyte PHOENIX for more health regen and SUB-DERMAL armor for +4 DT. GODMODE 😂

I might have missed something, after getting the money for the implants, I wasn't able to get all 3 due to only having 10,000 caps and each implant being worth 4000.

Quick recap of what I do to get the caps: -Goodsprings, Hoover Dam, Mormon Fort, Vault 22 and Test Site (Lucky 38) snowglobes (this is 10000 alone regardless of barter skill) -Steal and sell every item from the Silver Rush Selling everything from the Silver Rush alone should get you the extra 2000, but if you're still short you can also sell any unnecessary ammo you've picked up, as well as the DLC gear at the start of the game (if you have the complete edition). I did tag barter as my third tag skill, but it shouldn't matter in getting the extra 2000 caps from the Silver Rush haul.

It come on classic preorder bonus (Included in FNV ultimate edition steam / gog) If dont have it, just the reinforced leather armour, or better if you have dead money dlc, Sierra Madre reinforced armour, which is most OP light armour (stat nearly comparable to lower end heavy armour, with benefit of light armour)

Two guesses as to why that would be would either be the GRA add on not being present, or your level being slightly different when you first get to the Silver Rush. I also had barter tagged, that may have affected it as well.

In the end it really comes down to personal preference. Because this build has a high luck stat you can get a decent critical chance, and I don't want to negatively affect that potential benefit. There was a FONV melee build video I recorded and later scrapped where you can see that higher damage weapons without many crits do about the same damage as slightly lower damage weapons with a moderate amount of crits.

I’m 1 minute in and I have so many questions. Why pump luck and dump perception, when almost all of the crit related talents have 6 PER requirement? You either build for crit or you don’t-and pick heavy handed. There is 0 reason to get 10 Int from the start. More than that, if you are not going Logan there is no reason to go above 4-5, as you will be swimming in skilpoints regardless. Why agility 5, when slayer requires 7? You will get one from the implant, but why not lower your massive megamind by 1 point and put it into agility? Why good natured only? Skilled gives better rewards with no downsides, even without the bug where you take it multiple times. If you are pumping luck-why not pick built to destroy for free 3% crit? I mean, yeah, this build will work, and the game is easy regardless, but you are succeeding despite your build, not because of it. 5 5 9 1 4 6 6 8 will let you grab every significant perk after all the upgrades are in place, and maxes out your crit chance, damage and hp, which is a staple of melee.

If you think I'm min maxing with these guides, you have it all wrong. It's a simple guide to give you an early game OP melee build in a manageable amount of time. As much as you want to backseat me into your ideal build, it's completely subjective, and in my opinion, focuses way too much effort on not that much more damage. I'm not trying to optimize the fun out of the game here.
