New Veterans Park Coming to North Wildwood

There is an NEW Veterans Park coming to North Wildwood.
Many don't know but there is a veterans park in North Wildwood right on Spruce Ave behind the "Welcome to North Wildwood Sign."
The city wants to take this land, the land where the old Texaco gas station was and the land where the Triangle restaurant once stood, and turn it into a massive park.
This Veterans Park will feature two memorials (star families and veterans wall) trees, benches, lighting, and a 40 foot welcome tower.

Thanks again for a great update of things happening. I think I remember the gas station we use to fill up when our family was leaving to go home. So many things changed. I think I remember a Sea Shell store we always had to go to in that area. (I’m I dating myself) and also maybe the restaurant Ed Zaberers. Wow you bring back memories Joey! So many places I can think of that are gone now.

The shell store was in that area, and owned by a pair of sisters. They had shells from all over the world, and all kinds of souvenirs. To me, it was the perfect place to look for something you didn't know you needed. The fact that the parking lot was crushed clam shells was even better. My parents loved Ed Zaberer's, home of the Zaberized cocktail, and innumerable Tiffany lamps.

Nice video. I know this is not the place for it, but do you know why the Seafood Music Festival is not on Atlantic Avenue anymore? And not on Saturday Avenue? It was a bummer last year in that park. The food that was sold last year was horrible. Now they are holding it on a Sunday. Who wants to do a Festival on a Sunday and drive 70 miles to go back home to start the work week. Atlantic Avenue was a perfect spot. The two stages for music, great food, the hotels are close by, and the boardwalk is close. In my opinion, this is not smart to have a Festival on just a Sunday. I only say this, is because my wife and I have been going to the Music Seafood Festival since 2009.
