Oh GREAT A DIY HGTV Make-Over Home Show! Wow! LOL! :-) Really impressed with the remodel I only have one question? Why do so many people put electrical & batteries under where their bed they sleep? That to me is not a safe zone to have under one when sleeping. Food for thought!

I thought the same honestly. But with so much space and wood in between not to mention the mattress that’s 6 inches...there’s no heat coming through. The battery’s don’t get hot. The only thing that really gives off heat is the inverter but thats not a hole lot. It would be the same as sleeping next to a wall with a breaker panel. Also helps if you’re confident in your work and take the necessary precautions to prevent fires from happening. Fuses proper wire fittings etc.

Also, food and drink gets spilled, can easily happen with dogs, kids or if imbibe. And less protection from liquid spill if made into bed, due to slats being opened.

And if you were listening you would have heard me clearly explain how most van lifers don’t want toilets or showers. Because we actually know....because we actually live in vans.
