I love the whale tail at 3:20 My old man is a commercial fisherman and we are fortunate enough to take my kids out on a 40ft gillnetter converted to a holiday'er. I caught a 100lb halibut while jigging in 30ft with my kids. Cleaned it with pops. Later that night having some drinks with my dad and talking about life, women, and sacrifices, he told me he wanted to get made a custom built whale tail for his front yard. I got one for last xmas, 5ft high, 4ft wide.....my son used to always say that his grandfather never killed fish, but was paid to say hello to the whales, and he started calling my parents grandma and grandpa whale....and this is why art is so meaningful.

6:13 When I first got engaged, I went commercial fishing with my dad to help pay some bills. That sacrifice away from your loved one. Being out on the desolate ocean as like other for hundreds of years. Something about the ocean that is so timeless....then I was given the captains chair. The old man gave me the lecture together with the other deckhand, if we were caught sleeping behind the wheel, instant firing, no excuses....he gave me a coffee, "it's been sitting on the stove all day, it tastes like sh!t, but it does the job" it was honestly the best coffee I ever had, all while reflecting on how every item, every bill paid in my childhood was from time sacrificed away from loved ones for my father. Pretty awesome moment being handed down the crown that was bittersweet.

@@baddazzgarage2953 thanks dude I really appreciate it. I figure life all comes down to priorities and sacrifices. My family is fortunate enough to have a friend that let's us use his 40ft boat anytime we want and my father does all of the mechanical work for free. I'm grateful for the lifetime of memories we create for my kids. Money doesnt buy true happiness, I believe it comes down to relationships with others. My $3000 15ft boat provided many smiles for my kids and their friends tubing. Nothing wrong with hitting the reset button on life. I always bet on the underdog because they will fight for it much harder. Keep up those dream man and write them down. Since I was a kid, I always wanted the simple life, a family of 3, with 1 cat as a pet, a Toyota truck, and being able to work hard to achieve some of the extra things in life. If something got in my way, I just circumvented it...most importantly I've been able to demonstrate to my kids that I can still respect their other side of their family, while protecting our tripod. But seriously though man, thank you for the support and keep up with that dream.

Think of the time and energy that some people put into making something just a little uniquely different to make it their own. No other nordhavns are like that for their windows. I think it's cool to be different. Like the first time someone put a suspension on a motorcycle upside down. It works perfectly fine. And it gets people talking just like this. Just my take on it

Ryan Clayton The rake of the pilot house windows is not unique to this boat. All EYFs have this style. Most Nordhavn 50s and 57s have the same style. The Coast Pilot also has this style.

I think yes, that was a pilot's cabin behind the bridge. And then it has the owner's cabin, and three double guests cabins,. So it can sleep 9 persons (2+2+2+2+1)

What in particular? Each boat serves a different purpose. My piece a crap 15.5ft boat was awesome for a family project for my kids to work on together with me and make a profit. I dont even dream of owning a boat this nice. Huge deck for fishing, large enough to clean a halibut, or drinking with the boys with a lil sunshine on the back deck and BBQing or working on or checking out the engine room or the tool/supply room, while the girls have a patio table on the next deck. And the isolative personality disorders can lay on the lounger chairs....I lost count of the amount of beds. Hell, I'll sleep in that engine room. Plenty of room, for loved ones, business associates and even family. Lol. Not trying to argue with you dude, to each their own. That's the great thing about creating your own, whether its art, a hot rod car, it's about working hard and designing something that represents them. And this one happens to resonate with me, but perhaps I'm biased because I can relate to the owner. What is your dream boat?

@@chips810 look how big that back deck is. Table top to clean the fish. Have a vacuum packer and the mess is all on the back deck and easy to clean. We were able to do this catching x20 25lb salmon per day on a 3288 bayliner with 1/4 of the space. No blood or mess in the cabin.
