New video shows different angle of man taped to seat after outburst on Frontier flight to Miami

A 22-year-old man has since bonded out of jail and is sounding off on social media saying that he was “dehumanized” and “treated like livestock” after being wrapped with duct tape on a Frontier flight into Miami from Philadelphia over the weekend.

Some things I got from this video: 1) Judging by his tweets, he’s not taking responsibility for his actions THAT ARE ON TAPE. 2) He has retained counsel because he took down the tweets. 3) He’s facing 3 years but in this country, a person can attempt to overthrow the US government and only get 8 months, so he’ll probably get time served. 4) He should be on the no-fly list because his actions could’ve crashed that plane. 5) Flight attendants should sue him because he verbally, physically, and sexually assaulted them. 6) It’s a good thing the airline reversed course on its treatment of the flight attendants because they could’ve been named in the lawsuit as well.

Frontier will settle with an undisclosed amount with him. Even though taping him to the seat might have been justified it probably went overboard when they taped his mouth closed. Just screaming and yelling in the cabin does not put a flight in danger. Otherwise those charter planes of sports teams screaming and yelling when flying home after winning a championship would be crashing left and right.

I think cheering versus this guy's verbalizations are two totally different things. I think duct taping him was well justified, and I wish I was on the jury that will hear his case - if it goes to trial. The minute he physically assaulted the female flight attendants, as well as the male flight attendant, and add in this verbal assaults, the guy made his own case for being duct taped.

Duct-tape guy escalated from yelling to violence; sports teams will just keep cheering. Now, if the teams start escalating their behavior by verbally and physically abusing the staff, certainly some sort of restraint is justified. I get why you think taping his mouth may have gone too far, but I would love to know if there were kids on that flight. Again, in this situation, duct taping the mouth is fine by me. You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I just feel differently, that's all.
