Thanks for the useful video. Does the wifi need to be switched on every time you start the car or will it remain on always. Can I use this as a reversing camera i.e. by connecting my phone/tablet to the app and viewing the rear while reversing. Would there be any lag in doing so?

No problem. Wi-Fi is off by default. You need to enable it every time you want to use it. This dashcam is not meant to be used as the reversing camera.

Do you know how to hardreset the camera without the app? My mew wifi passowrd is wrong. I cant use the standard password as well So i am not able to connect to the camera. with the reset button on the left side i only get a soft reset. I updated the firmware and it did not helped me

Thanks for the video, so in terms of A229 plus & A119 mini2 %VS1 which one do you recommend more?

It depends on your requirements. VS1 and A119 Mini 2 are quite similar. The VS1 is a bit smaller but does not have a screen. I would go for A229 in case if you need the rear camera and/or interior camera.
