All jokes aside, to be honest it doesn't matter how you get the fluid in. The only thing that matters is getting enough in and then only a small trickle out at the correct temperature. I used a fertilizer sprayer with the correct adapter from amazon on the end of it. Video somewhere on KZbin on the how to. For a DIY'er, not worth buying the proper fill tool at the 48 month interval (722.9 blue fluid).

What would be perfect on that sweet new pan would be some steel bits so you can choose to put in a few neodymium magnetics to filter the tiny metal particles and keep that shifting fresh.or, tell the tale when you pull the pan

@@ModernMastersAuto I wasn't aware; especially because, I've not had that experience in the 13 years I've owned my W204 (C-300). I change the transmission fluid in my W204 every 40K. Current milage is 100K. With what you said, would it be possible for them to produce a gasket?

What's the goal of using the CLS transmission ? To get away from the MCT ?
@Carrissvmf10 ай бұрын
It's the same transmission the clutch packs and valve body may be different but I believe they are even the same so not sure either. IMO would be better off just rebuilding the stock trans with upgraded parts
@andreaskoumides959910 ай бұрын
I think their thought is that the bi-turbo transmission will handle more torque as the bi-turbo cars have a lot more torque than the n/a cars. I agree that rebuilding the original transmission with upgraded parts is the way to go, but they may be looking at a budget friendly option. As a used transmission might be cheaper than rebuilding the original one.

So did you have to do any coding or this just worked? Would this work in the w211 and w219 m156 cars? or the 722.9 in those is different again? EDIT: Both these trans your swapping should be 722.931. So they are effectively the same thing other than the possible beefing up clutchpacks of the biturbo trans. So an earlier w211 or w219 should be 722.907 So I suspect this likely wont work on those or would need extensive recoding?
