Herb, forgot to mention, but one little enhancement you can do is add some hot glue under the head and throat rubber pads. It keeps it from flying off when you’re pulling fast.

I have not had that problem, but I did have one come off early on and used 2-sided tape when I put it back on.

My Baialdo lite too. Clamp locking is different from my machine. Did you exchange it?

Neither one of these is a Baiardo Lite. One is a 2015 model, and one is the updated 2022 model.

I remember a video you posted a while ago, where you compared the L with big one. Where you said: when I have to buy a new one I would buy a Baiardo L only whit the Baiardo clamps. What made you sell the L and buy a the big one ?

Price. The L model has gone up so much, and after you add the base clamps (if you can even get them) it was only a couple hundred more to get the full model.

Did they upgrade the table brake by any chance? Mine still slips pretty easily. Wish they went with gear brake system instead.

No. Still the same friction brake.

@@HerbBaird I disassembled the entire brake system last night to see what I could do to improve it. I tried adding a spacer to the mechanism so that it expands the brakes slightly more, but that didn’t too much to my surprise. Turns out the reason why the friction brake is terrible is the material of the brake itself. The rubber/plastic material doesn’t have enough static friction against the turntable. I might try using bicycle brake pads or maybe the drawer liner material to increase that friction coefficient.

To use the original clamps on the light you have to replace the rails also. It would be cheaper to custom order the Xpider base clamps from Tourna
