But thers guys pushing 540hp in it on youtube now with nutty turbo swaps & stuff! 😄 👍

Considering the huge price difference the Golf R is seriously impressive. In real world driving conditions there’s probably very little in it performance wise. You can buy far nicer used cars for almost 60k, Aston Martin, Porsche 911, Nissan GT-R etc

So. You buy the Golf & pay for a mild tune from Revo or Cobb (3-6k). Invest the difference to offset any costs you might have from not having a warranty any longer. And if nothing serious breaks, then in 3 years you'll have 12 to 15k more in your pocket and a faster car to boot, not counting returns on investment (because that is too unpredictable).

That Golf R is making way more then advertised thats for sure. The a45 (with 100 more hp supposedly)was barely pulling on it and its only 7% heavier with 31% more power 🤔. Plus it trapped almost 160 in the standing mile. You're not doing that with 320hp at the crank. You'll be lucky to do that with 320 to the wheels.
