I can appreciate that some folks will want something like this. I will stick with the rigid Wahoo Kickr trainer I got last year (on a huge holiday discount, no less). I don't seem to get this issue when I'm on a bike but, the last time i tried a trainer with fore/aft + lateral movement - the TacX Neo - it felt almost like sea sickness to me (I have a funky inner ear issue). Plus, I constantly felt like I was going to sway the bike off the trainer. It was jarring. Not for me. I just enjoy the stability I get from the regular Kickr. But hey, they seem to be super popular so maybe i'm the only one this happens to? 😋

How much did you paid?

@@ElBako almost 2 years ago, I got it for $735 including tax and shipping. I think at the time, the regular price for it (not sure if it's still available) was like $1200.

Thanks for the candid review, though could I buy a 1980s Italian steel frame and get the same result on my older Kickr? 😅

I have a home built rocker plate. Plywood, springs, rails, rollers and tennis balls for rebound.

I might be confusing but I think I saw you reviewing the elite rizer. Ive been to pull the trigger on the justo+rizer combo but this new kickr move made me wonder. If you had to pick one, which one would it be? You tried both thus you have relevant info to share.

I've tested the Rizer and the Climb, or Clmb, however Wahoo spells it. The Rizer is much sturdier, plus you can steer with it, which is cool. Personally I'm not a fan of the riser concept in general, maybe because it just requires more setup and takedown time. The Kickr is my favorite trainer though. So... don't know if that helps or complicates things. Good luck!

@@TheRidewithBenDelaney I have an old bike dedicated to indoor setup. I've been wanting to add some spicy to the trainer thing and have been looking to get the elite rizer (plus the justo). Now wahoo came up with this and it made me think on the impact this might have on confort over long indoor training sessions (more than 2h30 and my rear... does want any more). Price wise the elite combo or this new wahoo move are quite similar so I'd have to pick just one. Thus my question: movement on the saddle vs having the front of the bike go up&down.

Have you reviewed Elite Nero Smart rollers? It moves fore and aft and it simulates actual riding on the road better IMHO.

Hey Tom. Thanks for mentioning that. I have (and the video is probably still on velonews), but I obviously neglected to mention them here. The feel of those things is great! The power measurement is awful, though, and the resistance doesn't go nearly as high. But the feel for regular riding is pretty ideal if you like rollers.

@@TheRidewithBenDelaney will do. Mine does seem to be off, to the high side, on its wattage. Thanks.

@@tomschenk5148 it's a big ask - unrealistic, really - for plastic rollers to get accurate power measurement underneath a bike. I don't think Elite really claims it to be accurate, but it *does* provide the number so that creates the expectation. Here's that review : velo.outsideonline.com/road/road-racing/elite-nero-smart-rollers-review/

@TheRidewithBenDelaney did you try using the PML, power meter link? It allows the Nero to use the power meter in your bike rather than relying on the algorithm that the Nero itself uses. Thus making it would be as accurate as the power meter that ypu use on your daily outdoor rides.
