All that has to do with a server tic rate at 20hrz a sec. Can you imagine playing on a cutting-edge system that cost over a thousand dollars but the games server only updates 20 times a second. Biggest game developer in the world and they have the worst servers in the business.

The thing about verdansk was the fact that it fit everybody’s play style. The sweats, the campers, the slow movers, plus the map was easy to learn so you can find your favorite spots. And the story behind it with each chapter brought it to life

Cod dont win either way you slice and turn it with how two sided the community is 😂, its like a 50/50 split of wanting verdansk back and the other half not either way people will find something to complain about. I remember hearing people cry about there being too many rooftop campers/ roofs on verdansk yet it seems like theres a million more buildings with a roof to camp in the new map and no complaints 🤔. My hate was always the fact almost every lobby had a blatant cheater in it shooting you across the map but other than that verdansk played much better than the recent maps 🤷‍♂️

A large part of the success of Verdansk was because the map wasn't overly complicated. Buildings didn't have an obnoxious amount of rooms full of furniture and details inside. The simple sight lines and general layout lead to more clean gunfights and traditional BR standards. High ground and early rotation. Like J said KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

That gameplay literally shows all the issues everyone has with the riot shield. 1.melee lunge still broken 2.stowed still protects from the back 3.can still keep up with sprint while riot shield is in hand 4. Riot shield health still infinite 5.can switch to the riot shield fast -Adjustments need to be made- 1.should not be able to lunge with riot shield. 2.bullets should bypass riot shield when stowed. 3.when in hand or stowed mobility should be severely hindered or encumbered. 4.if riot shield has unlimited health just add the “broken glass” effect to distort vision(will deter players from playing like this) 5.switching to or from riot shield speed should be severely hindered. Anyone can add their thoughts. I’m open to suggestions.

A day-night cycle and dynamic weather system is pretty much all you need to make the maps feel different between games. Having the previous maps on rotation would be cool as well. They don't need to reinvent the wheel each year.

The maps are too big with too many unique buildings to learn. I can’t be bothered to play 100s of games to learn the whole thing against sweats that are way more obsessive about it than I am. Not friendly for newcomers or people that play less at all. One of the best things about Verdansk was the reused assets all over the map. Once you learned the basic 10 building designs you could learn most of the map. I probably won’t play another CoD BR map unless it’s Verdansk or small sized for these reasons.

Urzikstan has a lot of reused assets, I think Verdansk was more unique than Urzikstan. Urzikstan reuses three Multiplayer maps, Al Mazrah buildings, and a lot of copy and paste buildings in the City, Suburbs, Military Base, Farm, Old Town and Low Town, and all the squatter and small houses. The map shouldn't be that hard to learn, with the terrain having a bowl effect similar to that of Verdansk

I have definitely noticed some but the majority seems quite unique to me at least. Can’t tell you the number of times I have seen people on various buildings on Urzikstan and had no clue how to get there or push them. I never had that issue with Verdansk

Bro, that's how these maps are. Once you learn one building, you at least know like 4 others like it. And it goes on with other buildings as well. Edit: To be fair, I did the Zombies camo challenges for both MW3 and MW2 weapons, so I do know the map a lot more than the most people. And I rarely play big map, so there's that as well. I never liked playing large scale BR in Warzone. And I didn't like Verdansk.

There are core issues with the game but a lot of it has to do with the community being the issue, 50% wants new and 50% wants the same. CoD has to choose with every new game on what new innovation they have to sacrifice in order to bring in the same old same old, alongside sacrificing the good old features with something unnecessarily new.

Rebirth isn't a great map tbh a lot of people just like it though. Prison is almost always in zone until late game. It's a power position that can only be countered by 2 huge camper towers on each side of it. Prison gives high ground and allows you to fly and third party almost any fight. I do enjoy the map but it does have flaws.

Verdansk was just a very well made map, all of the new ones have been poorly designed with buildings having the exact same layout

Al Maz had a better design for BR. Less open spaces and when there was there was cover for you to rotate to. Which covered power positions so you could rotate. Buildings were mostly pretty simple and easy to figure out. Verdasnk for sure had some issues like down town and stuff, but it was a good map for a first try at a BR map.

They are gonna make the same mistake Blizzard did by delaying a fan favorite map. When fans of WoW were calling for Vanilla WoW to come back, Blizzard took 6 years to finally listened and it increase their sub and player counts. The riot shields should degrade with every bullet hit, say 150 hits then it starts letting a few bullets through the only thing then is you need to change it for a new shield.

I've played almost ever CoD (under breath: not world at war), I do love that Activision or Treyarch like to preserve the way the game is played except the shitshow Warzone 2 was. Would love the OG Verdansk back but yeah also a new big map so i can switch it up from time to time. Either way we are downloading games and updates well over 20GB so yeah I wish they put in "Big map rotation" and add Verdansk into the mix. Also ffs CoD needs 64tick rate or better/more stable servers.

Let’s be honest. MW 2019 was by far the smoothest game. The whole flow of movement, plating up, reloading, climbing, everything was smooth. Even Verdansk could not help the game to get better if the movement is still clumsy.

I'm pretty new to COD. Started with BOCW for the campaign and to try out MP, but that was after MW2 released which I got shortly after. So really MW2 was my start, along with WZ 2.0. I never really liked resurgence and thought that Rebirth was all hype...until I played it. It's great, not just nostalgia. That's why I'm hoping for Verdansk, because I've never played it and I think I'll have the same experience that I had with Rebirth. Since the rumor is that Verdansk won't release with the integration, I want them to give us Al Mazrah for the integration before Verdansk comes back, even if it's just a month or two. I like Urzikstan but the community as a whole seems to think it's stale. So throw Al Mazrah in to shake it up. Imagine how well it would play with the current or BO6 movement

Don’t want to say but the only thing that will make big map popular again would them not releasing any resurgence modes for the first season. They gotta get big map fun and exiting again before they focus on resurgence. People will play resurgence no matter what, even if it plays terrible. The same cannot be said for big map

from what I've seen, the leaks only show more camera shake/movement with certain movements and more recoil on guns. granted they didn't have attachments I think and who knows what fov they were on, but it's not looking good :(

Even if Verdansk comes back it won’t hit the same with all of these new guns/balloons etc. big map doesn’t feel like a BR anymore with people flying all over the map landing on people. The OG Verdansk catered for all different play styles, nowadays 95% of teams that win the game are sweats on high kills.

I am mix on if new map or remaster verdansk will work. It’s biggest problem is they never cycle maps and just leave one big map all year which in turns maps game more stale. If size is really issue with downloads and keeping it one client than warzone and rebirth should always been their own client and MP and story and zombies on their own.

- They should make AP rounds pass through shield - Another possibility is that the map leaked is there to serve as a MP content overral and they will make maps from the different parts with different gamemodes. With the current expectation surrounding Verdansk coming back, if it's not, people will be very upset. It's interesting because i think there was never an official word from Activision saying that the map was coming back right? All leaks so... - And they should remove the WXP cap on zombies :)

The dude shooting randomly was using steam inputs to use rapid fire the only way to use it is toggle the fire button. I tested it out and you get that random firing effect in call of duty

Well... Idk why KZbinrs Luke jgod still don't know, but the reality is bo6 releases on urzikstan aka wz3, gets 2 more big updates (guess halloween and Xmas), and verdansk comes 10. March 2025. Avalon is a new resurgence map releasing who knows when. After verdansk late 2025, we get new map Ala las Almas, kinda.

The only way to make Verdansk play well with these mechanics would be fundamental changes to the map everyone remembers and loves like what the new superstore did. At that point it's not really the same map and it's definitely not the same experience as Wz1.
