Arrest the criminals at the scrap yards that a are buying them. They know they are stolen. Where else would a trunk full come from?

yea, I remember when Cayenne's owners in Russia started printing their vin numbers on headlights(which are so easy to steel), the thefts simply starts breaking headlight if they cannot steal it

This does nothing to help you because once that first cut is made you're gonna be paying money whether they take it or not, there's better ways to protect it but it would be better if they passed a law saying it's a death penalty if you're caught stealing it or buying a stolen one.
