NEW Weapon Hellfire: How Strong is it? - Mech Arena

They should have made Hellfire have an effect like Overdriver "hotshot". Deals more damage for burn, the longer you stream fire on a target (a multiplier). That way you can surge stun a target, heat it up and run while the burn takes the target out with the scaling DOT. Alternatively, nomad dash in, heat up a target, and dash to another and heat them up. Alternative implants would also be cool for this weapon since nothing changes with stat growth. An implant like, increase fire rate and projectile speed.

Pyro and Inferno were very buggy on release, not broken. After the bugs were fixed (they were fixed surprisingly fast for pixonic) they became mediocre weapons, their recent nerfs kinda made them more niche

The problem now is any new weapon released would have to be stronger than revokers. Otherwise everyone will still just use revokers. Only answer would be nerf revokers. But can’t do that cause Revokers are kind of a must have endgame cause mods are too strong for anything else to handle close quarters. Even embers don’t work that good and they are the second best besides revokers. They over did the mods for sure and the game is a mess now. I was excited for something new but looks like three revoker builds and two storms it is. What a shame.

yea, i probably compared it to revoker too much tbh. ideally you wanna isolate the outliers and not balance new items around them, otherwise a nerf simply creates further imbalance. what i meant to say is that hellfire is rather weak in comparison to most weapons of its type (Minigun/Ember/etc), not necessarily to focus on Revoker so much.

Really surprised that it's a heavy duty weapon while its literally close quarter weapon. I think this needs more range maybe atleast 55m to 65m. But I think it's great and a meta worthy weapon. So far this my favorite weapon design, I like how there's a dragon-like design on the weapon that's exactly how I imagined a flamethrower would look like. Anyway always enjoy your reviews man gg!

legendary attacker mech with a ability called "Secondary Weapon". When the ability is activated mech switches to secondary weapon (weapons should be selected before match/ in hanger). for example 3 star mech with 12 energy cost weapon can be selected as secondary weapon and as the rank increases the energy cost for secondary weapon increases.i hope you found this concept mech interesting it will add excitement and suprise elements in the match as players will don't know about what type of secondary weapons the mech is carrying.

I think........this is absolutely the best weapon we have had in a really long time. I mean it's absolutely better than howlers and dredshot. And it's not stupidly over powered like revokers. It's is just a well balanced weapon as a weapon should be. Don't know about others....but I really think revokers should be nerfed . A single weapon meta is really lame. That's the reason we liked and accepted the concept of mods because it ended the single weapon meta which was railguns.

Also I think all of the recent weapons were good ...only the grading is bad . Aegis Minigun 12 Pilot: I forgot but it’s the red and white one with horns. Implants: 1. Minigun recoil 2. Minigun reload 3. Minigun damage 4. Ability duration. 3. Eclipse Graviton 12 Pilot: Asami Implants: 1. Graviton damage 2. Graviton implosion build up 3. Ability cool down 4. Ability duration. 4. Orion Tetra 12 Pilot: Baron Implants: 1. Tetra reload 2. Tetra final blow dmg (I think that’s an implant if not just replace with your own implant.) 3. Orion shield pierce 4. Orion marked damage boost. I will try my best to improve the hangar if you give advice :)

I don’t really see there being a good place for a heavy duty with only 40m and no scaling burn. Mini gun is gonna do the same with a larger mag pool and range. Graviton is actually gonna scale. And you’d still lose to revokers close range. Ima pass on this
