What I did on mine after I dropped it, I went to the junk yard and took out a stock spring from the passenger side of a 2WD truck and put it on my drivers side to fix the saggy spring. Worked BEAUTIFULLY, fixed all my issues and leveled it straight. Couldn’t be happier. Give it a shot, and install factory shackles to make it even.

It’s the Chevy lean. The way it was explained to me is the Battery, fuse box, driver, gas tank are all on that side. I got rid of it on my 04 by getting a new RH leaf spring from the junk yard.

One thing I like about what you do. Even if, say in this instance the rear of the bed and you didn't realize until you got into it that only the rear of the bed bolts had to be removed but had you had to pull the front, you'd went ahead and done so. In other word's whatever it takes to get the job done versus a shortcut. Keep up the good work.

Hey Travis, another free ideal would be to swap the leaf springs from side to side. You could have a saggy set on one side. And if the truck had a large driver in it for any length of time that might explain some of the Chevy lean.

I've dropped 4 of those nbs trucks, what I've noticed besides the lean, the dif tends to shift a little to the right/passenger side! If you stand on the back of each side you can tell, the passenger side always looks more flush to the quarter panel and the driver looks more in!

I used a mcgaughys 4 6 drop on my 03 chevy stepwise had the same problem 1 inch lower on the left side front put the stock spring back in the left front fixed it truck sat perfect

Hey TWA awesome video always well informed on how to get the job done right 99-06 GM trucks are known for the Chevy lean driver side always being lower than passenger you should check out IHC suspension they sell upper and lower control arms that fix this issue I have them on my 06 Silverado they are very well made and highly recommended you should check them out

@TWAMotorsports My all stock low mile original NBS right now sits at 33/34 (driver side) and 34/35 inches on pass side (note I do have a small camper shell on it that I have to take off and see if it raises the rear up a bit. The difference between both sides is a full inch both front and rear (with camper shell). There is hardly any gas in the tank so the chevy lean problem is still a mystery to me. After doing some research it appears to me that a flip kit and rear lift hangers will provide the best adjustment option, lift shackles come in half inch sizes as well and it appears to me that a flip kit with this setup can get you 4, 5, or 6 inch drop adjustment by using different size lift shackles on the hangers - I rarely ever see this done or see the rear hangers installed (everyone changes the front hangers)but its looks like best option to me. With this setup the back should be very easy to adjust between the two sides (pass/driver sides) to get the ride height equal between them without the lean. Im going to use the 3 inch lowering arms for the front (they are better to me because they don't have clearance issues, the suspension specs don't change, and Im guessing the camber should not change either. If I want more I can always add 1 inch drop springs. But I will likey cut a very small amount from the original pass side front coil to help level out the chevy lean problem. Between that and the full adjustment in the rear using lift hangers I can chose a 3/4 or 3/5 drop - even a 3/6 but I like rake and am not a fan of the common 4/6 drops. So I will likely end up with a 3/4 or 3/5 possibly even a 3/4.5. Reply

QA1 front coil over shocks you can adjusted to get all sides even. But they cost 600-700 dollars.

I didn't notch the bed on my 07 classic and I REALLY regret it. It has a 4/6 Beltech kit and drives great but if I hit a dip in the road it hits. I shouldn't be feeling the bump stops as easy as I do so im gonna get stiffer rear shocks, just not sure what kind to get. Im middle aged and NOT willing to put up with as much lowrider bullshit as I was willing to as a young man.

Also my exhaust runs RIGHT over the top of the rear end, not the axle tube but directly over the gear housing. On a side note your measurements with the "Chevy lean" are exactly the same as my 07 classic haha. Its a full inch higher on one side. I appreciate the videos man, a lot of these videos are teenagers hacking the shit out of these trucks making them ride and sound like shit, I like the way you do things and it helps me with ideas for my truck 👍
