How To: Door Panel Swap 99-06 to 14-19 Silverado RCSB | Truck Build pt. 3

If your wondering how I did the retro door panel swap, here’s is your chance!
Unfortunately I didn’t do this with a factory GMT-800 dash so I haven’t yet to figure how to wire it up with out the factory 14-19 dash.

Bolt the bracket on the panel first. Hang it on the door and give it a few smacks. The bolts will mark the door where you need to drill.

You can tape the area where it will mount on the door to see the bracket marks better after smacking it.

And put nail polish or paint on the bolts for more accurate holes 🤷🏿‍♂️

love it it blows my mind how now days you can improve a older truck that you love and can make it even better amazing! if i may sugest on the bottom in the right corner where its a bit rounded add a plastick or aluminum sheet to make it look OEM other than that Cool stuff i just got my OEM M3 style steering wheel for my project BMW car .

I think the original 99-06 panels look good, you just have to freshen them up. They also seem pretty well made, whereas these newer ones look like cheaper plastic.

Just went to a junkyard looking for replacement armrests for the rear doors on an 03, while the exterior of the door is nicer materials than the 07 I had, the plastic on the back is incredibly easy to break. In 5 trucks, I was not able to get a single arm rest off without the screw hole disintegrating, about half of them the black clips also broke. Thankfully, some high strength glue fixed the clips, still no idea what I'm doing about the screw hole.

First we had Zachary McFarlin puttin 2016 King Ranch interiors into 1999 Fords, then this guy putting 2014 interiors into older Chevys. Now we just need someone who can put a full 4th Gen interior into a 3rd Gen Dodge Ram. And I mean the full interior; dashboard, seats, center console has been done but no gauge cluster or door panels

Will you swap the rear seat frame? I have a 06 chevy crewcab LT 5.3V8 and want to swap out the rear seat to.put 6 subwooferrs under the rearseat ports on both sides towards each side of the box and subs install forward.

Hey don’t know if you have mirrors planned yet but I put the 18 style half ton mirrors on my 2000 Silverado and it was honestly really easy to do and 100% worth it for the look of your not a huge fan of tow mirrors on everything like I am

Idk man, personally I like keeping the old panels and wrapping them in soft touch/leather fabric. Same with dash and centre console with custom embroidery stitching

I wanted something different, plus I was doing an lt swap as well so had an idea and now it’s become something more. I own another 99 and a 07c so I get both of the factory interiors and this just added a newer feel to the older truck.

No, because you’d have no seatbelts. 99-06 they were built into the seats.
