I usually find my mind wanders with audiobooks, or I get annoyed with some of the voice work or the slowness, but this makes it a hundred times more interesting and I can see myself actually enjoying an audiobook this way, and the fantasy genre works a treat with this format. With aging eyes, I can no longer read for hours on end, so I have purchased audiobooks of my favorites. Wheel of Time is the only one I have the whole series and have listened to all of them multiple times. The idea of soundscapes is intriguing and I will definitely be purchasing it when available.

I'm the same... I can't focus on audiobooks. Similarly, I can't do podcasts. Don't even get me started on talk radio! I did listen to some of the audio book for WoT some years ago but while reading the book. That was fun. This companion sounds amazing and I would definitely try that!

hearing about this is heart-breaking because i'm up to AMOL on a re-read, I'd love to use this experience upon a re-read, probably after s3 is done and s4 ramps up! I will keep my eye peeled for the Kickstarter tho!!

Wow! I don’t know what I expected but this was PERFECT. I MUST have a copy of this! What amazing work this will be! I have to tell you I have read (mostly listened to) this series and over 20 times and I’ve never stopped feeling intense emotions with the series. This supplemented version brought that level of intensity way up. Also, I’m a person that finds it hard to paint the picture in my head when reading physical or audio. But when I heard the demo clip and closed my eyes I found I had a much more vivid picture in my brain than I’ve ever been able to have, particularly that specific scene! It brought new light to my minds eye. With the additional data, maybe my brain was able to fill in the details better. Either way, this was a wonderful gift and I can’t wait to hear the whole version!

This reminds me of Graphic Audio, which does a number of books with a full cast and background sound effects. I check those audiobooks out of the library. But those are ABRIDGED. These ones will be so much better.

Great question - I have re-synced my LOTR and HP Book 1 soundscapes to both of their readings. I plan on doing the same with WoT as well :) The narrations in WoT's case are actually pretty similar. So it shouldn't take too long to provide both :D

Absolutely. You make new files with your purchased Audible files that can be played on your apple music / spotify etc :) I'm also working on an app that will allow your Audible and my Soundscape to just be played at the same time without having to make new files!

How do you sink up the audio book with the background noise? Also how do you download them together? Is Jordan only selling the ambient soundtrack? If so, doe you hsve to habe the audiobook to listen the narration of the story?

Hi Andrew! I sell the soundscapes on my website - Wheel of Time Book 1 is in the works and finishing soon (for WoTCon!) I have a how-to-sync guide on my website but it is very simple. You line up the audiobook that you've purchased separately and my soundscapes and re-export them together. Boom! done! :D I'm happy to help out along the way too :)

Good question! The soundscape itself doesn't contain any element of the audiobook and doesn't have the audiobook included. It simply lines up with the audiobook. The same way a music album could be designed to! :)

I think it's kinda like when youtube reactors post their full unedited reactions without the actual movie or show and you have to sync in your own copy as a watch along. They for sure won't get copyright strikes for that

Thanks for that brilliant mind. I normally last a few paragraphs with any audiobook on good days, just a few sentences on bad days lol then my brain wanders and then when I have to repeat a sentence twice, I usually give up. So this might change that and make it more enjoyable to listen
