Super annoyed with the inspection process here. It sucks. New wheels look amazing though!

The exhaust doesn’t need to be welded that’s just a stupid excuse to fail your car.I would try another place because those people are very annoying.

I went through emissions testing like that with my mk4 golf was finally able to get it to pass. Thank god my next base don’t do emissions so hello engine swap time.

Christian Smith yeah that’s why I liked it when I lived in Tennessee no one cared, but the pacific north west does tho. I was there for 7 in a half years. I think they just care about the road worthy more than anything. Even tho those inspectors seem to fail over weird things. I’m pretty sure I could do an engine swap just too much paperwork and would have to get a hardcore inspection done to get plates.

We have a 1.6 16v Bora sedan and it has 340 thousand km and is still running like new that engine is really reliable

There was the auto skills center on Polaski. Should’ve stopped there and put the clamp on. It’s nicer than Ramstein IMO. Dude was just mad about the missing clamp. Was gonna fail you no matter what.

Don’t worry dude . The long plates will be on soon enough. We have similar tests here in the UK . MOT test . They suck . I was hoping those wheels were for the wagon . The GLI wheels would look sick on the wagon.👍

I wonder if you had exhaust sealant at that join if they would pass it. If I'm not welding, I use a sealant to make sure there are no leaks. Especially a waggon, most likely going to go to a family after you sell it. That long plate is the inspectors way of saying the car is safe to be on the road. We in the states don't look at things the same. Honestly I wish we had more rules to be able to keep people safe in the USA. But it seams like there mindset and attitude is not one I would want to deal with. Jumping through hoops is part of life unfortunately.. Just know that them seeing you upset is a win in a little man's mind. As always keep up the good work.
