When you have an AWD car you can't just replace one tire. You have to replace all 4. Probably didnt want to buy 4 new tires for stock wheels when he had plans for new wheels anyways.

Yes you do have to buy all 4 new tires when you have all wheel drive or the wear on the four tires being uneven could mess up the diff is what I think I was told when I had my AWD Astro van years ago.

Sti looks sick Scotty!!!! I love how you did this, that you took the wheels and tires to get mounted then put the wheels on yourself! I have the same OCD complex about my brakes too(also have brembo's) and my car, I'm too afraid it will get scratched at the tire shop or better yet they might want to go test drive it after they put on the new wheels and tires and......yeah I think they would want to drive my 500 horse 2012 mustang gt afterwards!!!! That's why I do my own wheel and tire mounting at home:)
