STAGE 2 STI ON DYNO!

we are so excited after teaming up with Cobb Tuning now we get to start cranking some horsepower out of the WRX and STI! We met with Ricky Hoffman over at Precision Tuning to get everything going on the builds. We started off with Big Boy's 2013 WRX and he came in with a very strong car that spun the rollers on the dyne to 237WHP! I showed up a little late after making sure Sammy was all set at my house and the boy's already almost had the Cobb stage 2 installed. Big Boy's car got back on the dyne after the Cobb turbo back exhaust, Cobb intake and air box, and the Cobb access port were installed and Big Boy's car made 278WHP gaining 41 horsepower! Next up was my STI I knew that i had to beat Big Boy's baseline numbers or i would never hear the end of it! My car barely made it onto the dyno because it was so low. My car spun the rollers to 264WHP! which is very impressive on a dynojet at over 100 degrees outside. After we installed stage 2 we jumped back on the dyno and my STI made 299.9 WHP and gained about 35 horsepower at the wheels! I am so happy with the drivability of the car. It feels so smooth, way smoother than the factory map. So not only does the car have more power but its also so much more enjoyable! next up stage 3! @Scotty Cranmer - So on your STI, you ran both the COBB Intake AND the COBB Downpipe, on an OTS COBB Map? COBB does not offer a stage 2+ map like the WRX, meaning you can't run the DP AND the Intake at the same time on the 15+ sti. There is an entire article on this from COBB on their site, as well as if you call them, they will say you cannot run both, without a custom tune. If you are running both, either have that shop pro tune it (which I am shocked if they don't know this and ran an OTS map on your car) or take the intake off. There is not enough injector in our cars to run both, once you go stage 3, you can run both safely.

UCCRacing even with a custom tune it will not be safe cuz The injectors will be at 90-95% max. I had a long talk with the guys at Cobb on the phone and even with my local tuner, they deal with subies mostly. I was told the car will be running very lean. It's better to go stage 3 but that's a lot of 💰...so I sold my dP and keep the intake cuz I love the sound lol. Just stage 1+intake :-(

not for 2015+ STI . There isn't enough room in the injectors. Check Cobb's website for maps.
