Gonna be honest, calling Tim Hook, the CEO of Apple, "Tim Apple" seems less like getting someone's name wrong by mistake and more like Trump having fun with shit. Remember people call Master Chief "John Halo" as a joke and it's something people do in regards to the main characters of other games on rare occasion (ie, the player character of Starsector is called John/Jane Starsector by a sizable chunk of the game's reddit community) so, you know... Trump has a very unique style of speaking, with lots of breaks in the middle of his sentences leading to quick digressions. But if you really listen, you'll see that he always comes back to the original thought he started with. In other words, he doesn't just ramble and forget what he was talking about, like Biden. He knows what he wants to say, he just adds a lot of colourful ornaments on the way. I remember people complained that Reagan had a similar sort of meandering style of talking. People who liked him thought of it as just a folksy, friendly way of drawing them in, while people who hated him complained that he was an unfocussed buffoon. But actually, Reagan's style of speaking had the effect of making it nearly impossible to use his words for quick, pithy soundbites, which lessened the chance of catching him in a "gotcha!" moment. The press hated that about him, and I think Trump has a similar effect. It's harder to pin him down for the purposes of attacking him because he's always throwing out verbal flak to confuse his assailants.
