European wiring products are so much nicer than what we have in the US. Just watching things snap together and slot in was very satisfying.

In Europe we had standards just as bad as North America, it's just that we moved on and updated. The odd 'old-style' installation remains as the new regulations are not retrospective, unless repair or modification is required.

Depending on how modern your koterij is, you might run into trouble with the paint you used. Usually these kinds of sheds are barely watertreated so the the brick walls suck up moisture from the ground like a sponge. If you cover them with a watertight paint layer you trap all this moisture which can result in flaking paint and/or weakening mortar bonds or even weakening the bricks. If you see this happening, consider using "kalei" instead, which is just a soupy mixture of gebluste kalk and a bit of sand, a technique used by farmers for centuries.

I spotted the new (under)floor already at the end. That yellow of the beams does so much to give the space something to live.

I had that exact same paint sprayer and, after rewiring my garage I set about spraying the walls. I installed six circuits with eighteen outlets. The only one I wired the wrong way around was the one I plugged the sprayer into. RIP paint sprayer

I watched the stairs installation first, and now I am catching up. I would highly recommend that you choose a height for all of your work benches. You should pick the height based on your present or future table saw. These are generally counter height. I have moved my current shop at least 6 times in the past 20 years and I always keep my work benches at the same height. Then these can serve as level platforms to work off of.

Tip you might want for next time: for filling the paint reservoir can be done by using a small cup to scoop the pain from bucket to reservoir, and you can just leave the cup in the bucket.

If you think your existing tiled floor is always dusty, a concrete replacement will be much, much worse. It's a waste of time for no gain whatsoever. Just clean the tiles and seal them. Far cheaper, it will look better and be easier to keep clean. And it won't dust up like concrete will.

Great space and looks so much better now you have painted. I’m looking for a similar space in U.K. for my workshop but not so easy to find anything that is affordable. Andy UK

Normally the light switch is on the side that the door opens, so you have access to the switch as soon as you open the door.. To put the switch on the backside of the door on the hinge side means you have to step into the room and reach around the door to get at the switch.

I thought id look back through your channel to see if there were any house restoration videos or to try and gain hints on what kind of workshop youd be making (woodwork, metal work, machine shops etc) and what did I find....Your redbull soapbox car video that I watched 5 years ago because I was interested in building a gokart! I didn't even realise this was the same channel! You've come a long way, well done :D

They're most likely not electricians. But money talks - if anything is strictly not needed for safety reasons. It's not installed. But some companies take a pride in good craftsmanship and a good working environment - they'll go an extra mile if it's not ridiculous expensive. It could prove to be saving money having outlets closeby preventing people from falling over extension cables all over the working area.
