Beautiful workshop! I have one about the same size. I also think making it aesthetically pleasing is important as it does make me want to go in there when the weather is cold. I've struggled with wood storage over the past few years, as I'm a wood magpie & don't like throwing out offcuts (wood isn't cheap), so it quickly gets cluttered. The bins are a good system. Take them out & sort them each time they fill up. I think I'll adopt a similar approach.

Hey, Thank you very much for the compliment. The defect drum sander is a bummer indeed. Every time I need to use it it breaks down. Unfortunately it's a very frequent occurring issue. So much so the dealer won't sell them anymore until the issue is fixed. Another major problem with so many breaking down is that there are no more spare parts available anywhere. Unfortunately it won't get fixed anytime soon and possibly even never, especially if Laguna decides the European market is to small to bother.

Wow, I work part time at a Woodcraft store here in Colorado and we sell a lot of Laguna belt sanders. I'm going to check with the boss next time I go in to work to see if he has heard of any belt sander issues, (I myself have never heard any). I know several wood workers who use the Jet belt sanders and they love them, I went with the Laguna because of the quick lift lever and I think it was also 100$ less. I hope you can find a suitable solution , Good Luck!@@UnquendorGuitars

I like that adjustable workbench. I'm actually starting to work with a partner and I'm setting up an auxiliary workbench for him, so he can work outside my shop, in the common area. I'm thinking of a rolling workbench, but now I wonder if it would be goo to also think of an adjustable heigh feature. But I guess it would have to have a hand crank, as it will be a moving bench on wheels. I also have the Bosch drill press, but my experience with it is not positive, I regret to say. The shaft wiggles on my drill press, which is unlike any other drill press I've even had. I'm not sure if I got a defective one or if all of these models are like that. The other thing I don't like is the very short distance between the vertical column and the center of the drill. There's really not enough distance to drill holes around the center area of guitars, such as the holes for the post for a trem bridge, etc. I got that drill press specifically for guitar building, and now it's collecting dust, so I am back to using my milling machine as a drill press.

Wow.. this is a dream workshop for any guitar builder or wood worker, I am really impressed about how many tools to put in that little area and how well organised everything is. What brand is that blue fret press you have ? Thanks for a great video. :D

Hi, I honestly don't know the brand. I think it's a generic, most likely, Chinese made press that is sold by many companies under different brand names.

I love the cleat wall! I am going to replace my peg board with this for sure! I particularly love the plane shelves. What’s the spacing you used for your cleats and how wide are they? Hi, Unfortunately I'm not the vendor. The link in the video description is an affiliated link to Amazon to help my viewers find the tools I'm using and by doing so I get a very small fee from Amazon if someone makes a purchase. I wish I had the means to set a shop by myself to provide my viewers with some useful, good quality tools. If you're still looking for a metric protractor you could try Crimson Guitars they make a knock-off.

@UnquendorGuitars
@UnquendorGuitars 2 ай бұрын
Hi, I just recalled your comment and wanted to get back to you. My sander has been repaired and for now works like a charm. As it turned out the PCB's were not suited for the very humid cold winters here in the north west of Europe. This issue has been fixed by treating the PCB and now the sander works perfectly and I (now) don't regret buying it. It is, i think, the best machine in its size and price range and it must be said that Laguna and their dealer tried everything to get it sorted free of charge.
