Great stuff. Medium Spear has always been super strong! I came back after a longer break from NW and started with expansion. Really excited honestly game got a special place in my heart. Gonna go with my standard musket build what what I wana try is Blunderbuss / Hatchet. On paper it sounds good :x

thank you my man 🤝 n yeah spear been good for a while it's just finally getting some more shine lately haha but same actually, came back a few weeks before xpac to get ready for it n been enjoying it a lot more than the first time around. I've seen some youtubers melt people with hatchet/bb but a couple streamers just kinda fail miserably with it so I really don't know if it's actually pretty good or if the youtubers just used rare clips of them doing well haha

When you use bezerk it’s not only cd right it’s on cd after it went out! So moonstone makes not really sense right?

did a video showing testing it a while back. it's not on cooldown once you activate it until it actually expires, but for the purposes of the moonstone extra damage, it's treated as if it's on cooldown as soon as it's activated

Bro what you think about SnS and Hatchet?!?! I m play with same med conf, but without blooddrinker, you can suggest an way to compesate damage lost? i play with 300 str, 100 dex, 200 con and backstab in both weapon (no artifact weapon). I like way with blooddrinker sustain.

thats pretty close to what I run when I play sns hatchet, if you can, try to get "lifering" sword, illegal perk combo enchanted and vicious and add pen backstab to it. pretty strong with moonstone gem and whirling blade, rend is a pretty big deal right now with a lot of people playing heavy armor. hopefully that's a helpful start, I'm not 100% sure I fully understood your question though

@@PJsurely Dude, that's exactly what I wanted to know, a way to compensate for the loss of damage that the blooddrinker causes. I really liked this named sword, I'm going to farm it. Regarding attributes, 300 str, 100 dex and 200 const are better? since the sword and hatchet climb a little harder. Maybe you got confused when I said that I don't use artifact weapons, because, I believe butcher and frey hatchet is not so good for this build.

perfect haha yeah I don't care too much for either artifact for them also, but as far as attributes go, definitely 200 con and the you'll end up with about the same starting damage whether you go 350/50, 300/100, or 200/200 so you basically just pick which passive is will be most valuable for your playstyle. personally I go 350/50 for sns hatchet

what this fella said, the spear artifact changes how javelin works. if you haven't checked the game out much since the expansion, they added an "artifact" version of every weapon, armor piece, and jewelry type that changes something pretty dramatically about how they work (for the most part)

Do you think builds like this and heavy’s are messing up pvp? Crazy effective setup no doubt though. I’ve been seeing builds like this with a healer rolling around and watch half the team chase them forever lol

nah, heavy players can be annoying so I mostly ignore them personally. if somebody has a pocket, you focus the healer. if I get hit with any kind of debuff, my build is instantly scuffed. there's a counter to everything, lotta people just focus too much on how they can get the highest possible damage number instead of thinking in terms of how to most quickly deplete the other players health bar while keeping yours as high as you can. pocket healer/blooddrinker? disease. heavy? rend. light assassin? slow.

@@PJsurely I’m new to new world pvp so I’m still figuring things out checking out other peoples builds. Learning the counters. New world has so many different ways of building out your character. I see a lot of people complaining and never sure if there is any truth behind it or people just sucking at the game like me lol.

people just like to complain haha perfect example, they literally haven't changed a single thing about spear since the expansion months ago and it wasn't very highly used. people are finally realizing it can be very strong and now "it's too powerful herr derr nerf it", you'll see after a while it happens every couple weeks a new thing to cry about pops up lul just try to find a well balanced build with weapons you actually enjoy using and you'll be fine with practice. dive face first into clumps and limit test your build until you find what works for you and what you can get away with. every weight class is viable, every weapon is viable, just have fun until it becomes easy

medium I wouldn't change much from my build aside the gloves I'd change to leaping strikes. spear-fortifying perforate, vicious, pen backstab. I wouldn't bother putting blood letting on blooddrinker since skewer is already capped out with butcher and 150dex passive. stick with even 200 split for attributes. heavy I'd just cram in as many frigid dawn pieces as you have with void darkplate and fill in any gaps with shirking heals, shirking fort, invigorated. tower shield fort shield rush, enchanted ward, thrust protection

still solid you just have to kind of adapt your playstyle a bit. medium you can get away with being deep in the clump for a bit, light you kinda play around the outskirts of the fight more and pick people off

You know I use blood drinker for my vg/abyss build in medium and you heal more than me somehow. I do the same damage, sometimes more with void blade attacks as well as orb, and I just feel like my sustain sucks.. idk why. I also have voracious blade and full leeching runeglass in armor.. I really don't understand why It doesn't keep me up as much as I would like

that is pretty odd, are you running magnetic gauntlets or at least a good bit of crit chance? berserk gives an extra 5% lifesteal and maybe divine and the ghouls harmony 5% mini divine bonus are multiplicative could explain some of it if you're not running divine but vg is by far the best lifesteal weapon overall. also, our swings may do about the same damage but torrent gives me a lot more swings at a fast pace than void blade can do, could just be a damage per second issue

@@PJsurely I wanted magnetic gloves to see how much that made a difference but I don't have it yet unfortunately so I run darkplate. I do have keen awareness on my blooddrinker though, and I use Hades fury which comes with keen. I think I'll record so I can see how much I'm sustaining. Maybe I'm just being negated by all of these pesti users lol

maybe you're healing for a good bit but just taking more damage than I do, different perks and whatnot. if you put the footage up somewhere let me know, I'd be interested in taking a look

Voracious blade has 0.1s cooldown so you will only heal from 1 target. Same goes for 15% on crit heal. Add to that that VG is less dps than hatchet and you have your lifesteal answer. He also has 40% rend from javelin and can take advantage of pen backstab.

I was hoping for a unique alternative but AGS seems to only really care about dex and strength players. It's fine though. I'm sorta soft quitting. I don't think the game is doing to well

health isn't great, it's really only like 5% more health because of the way the con passives work. get way more value out of 15% constant resistance than 800 hp that you have to heal back up to get value from, rather just not take the damage to begin with

@@PJsurely Just curious on your feedback to how I view it. Health, in my view, is always active and thus always in effect. A specific protection type is the same as not having a perk if you don't get hit by that damage type.

nah I understand a lot of people still like health because it just sounds more well-rounded at face value, it's just not the way I look at it. nothing wrong with your thought process, it's still good if you're playing with a healer, I just personally build for self-sustain and want it to take as many possible hits to actually kill me. like I would still take shirking debilitate cleanse over health for the same reasons I'd run invigorated on armor over health. if I'm rended I'm dying way faster, weakened I can't leech as much and die faster, diseased same thing. but I choose thrust specifically of all resistances because I don't have trouble living against other melee players with this build, I do however get tired of being shot by arrows and bullets haha

At the same time, the survivability is crazy, a lot of armor, hp and healing + haste from the berserker. good balance xdd
