nope that's the worst part, works with any weapon. Just roll light attack roll. and if you cast an ability at the end it keeps your momentum and slide another 20 feet. shits broken

the game is coming to console, some fresh start servers, pvp island and some pve stuff. should be good times if they have a lotta bugs fixed

yeah absolutely fire pot would be better, gold just adds up crazy fast. not worth in opr for me. always ele pot in arena. oakflesh/gemstone never worth

yeah taking a break til the update seems like the smart thing to do. game is kinda falling apart so hopefully it'll be fun to come back to new things to try after some time away from it

my honest advice would be play every weapon for at least a dozen matches. when your game knowledge goes from "that hammer ability hurts" to "ok shit I'm rended and exhausted I need to stall because I can't out-trade this anymore, but need to use my dodges sparingly for 8 seconds" you'll realize that every weapon is viable in every armor weight class. there is no magical best build, you'll figure out which weapons pair best with your playing style.

for my normal hatchet/spear build yeah absolutely. some weapons it doesn't feel as good with tho because it tanks their damage so hard like GA or rapier. and blooddrinker doesn't work like normal lifestealing, it doesn't limit you to one target at a time, that's what let's me get away with just standing and trading with 2-3 people at a time. some of the clips in this vid are actually decent examples where I'm healing for over 1.5k hp per swing and hitting people over 4k torrent swings even with the ring on

@@PJsurely I am using Feral Rush / Torrent / Berserk with Blood Drinker and Keen like you have. I am in light not medium. My guess is the lack of damage to keep incoming heals? With the exploits everyone is running (low gear score) where you do less damage means less heals... Maybe this is the problem?

there's a reason I play medium, you can't stand and out-trade somebody when you're in light even with my identical build. you take way more damage and barely do any additional damage. the dot moonstone is important for how i play, it let's me put out better damage than a lot of light hatchet players and still be much much tankier. in my most recent video I was hitting people for 3k light attacks and that was before the keen berserk buff even with blooddrinker on

not 100% clear what you're trying to say. you think healing breeze makes it easy to 1vX? personally, I don't think it's very strong. just another phase of people getting way too excited about the new thing. remember when the majority of people thought 'health' was a good perk? good times.. free lunch.

So yeah what ever that June announcement is will be a lot of content because literally everything that was supposed to come out on April and May got canceled and saved for "THE GREAT REVEAL". Basically FUCK legacy players. Just trying to bait console players for one more cash grab before it gets shafted.

hell if I know. if they do actually keep a running list of what's most pressing to be fixed, this affects pve as well so I imagine it'll be near the top lul

that would make sense if berserk gave something like divine but it just gives 5% lifesteal. if in some weird way empowers increase what it views as the weapon damage then you might be on to something tho

@@PJsurely I have had a few nasty combo kills on ranged. javelin to reel them in is dirty XD i don't have blood drinker yet though so its a BTEC build.

I used to do it every video but I don't want it to get super repetitive for people that watch most of what i put up. I just slap it at the end if anything changes, have a few build guides up tho

wasn't really talking about the war meta where people actually optimize and play the objective, personally don't care about wars. was talking more so about the opr meta where filthy casuals like me tend to play whatever is easiest to play as a solo, hence the ranged meta. they don't want to stand in the clump and get focused down without the assurance of a healer being available, so they gravitate towards something they can play at a safe distance. pretty routinely have matches where 19 blues are standing in the road 20 meters from a clump of 20 reds just shooting at each other with nobody dying and I'm skirting around the edge trying to look for someone I can pick off from the herd. as far as the strongest, most well-rounded build I've play though you're not wrong. heavy sns/spear is never going to lose a 1v1

@PJsurely I mained musket for awhile, mostly cuz it was fun and challenging, but I was in the shit on the point. Now I'm either hatchet GS or VG IG, the latter is pumping out so much dps, I can take a heavy sns user 1v1 and win, only weakness is if they focus my pylon fast, but most ppl ignore pylons, while Mines hitting for 1.5 to 4k a shot, depending on who it's attacking.

@PJsurely like 10 new opr maps. 10 new arena maps(no more 1 map per week bs). Capture the flag(other different modes for opr) could even have a massive opr map with 5 bases. Fix all desync, fix all bugs. Nerf life staff in these pvp game modes. Make world pvp great again. I love new world and it's pvp. Tis a shame. Also love your vids :D

At the same time, the survivability is crazy, a lot of armor, hp and healing + haste from the berserker. good balance xdd

it's pretty rough. we've been waiting for months to see what this big June update they've been hyping up is all about, but if it's just more pve shit... probably right behind you brother

that's tough.. probably hatchet but not by a lot. hatchet let's you weave in and out of the clump but with spear you can just kind of sit in the clump with infinite abilities and a buncha fortify

you can make it work, but that's part of my issue with it. the fact that you have to slow people and spend all your stamina constantly dodging toward the person just to remain remotely close enough to track is just bad and isn't an issue with a lot of other melee weapons. they said the tracking was going to be better after the slayer script update, and weirdly some things are but they're mostly pve related and with the degraded server performance it feels even worse than it used to

well that's a big part of the reason I'm currently frustrated with it personally, it's been my favorite game for a while because it can be very fun, but at the moment there are so many things that need attention that I'm just playing out of habit rather than actually enjoying myself

my brother I appreciate you respectfully disagreeing, but I often talk about things being unbalanced even when I'm the one using them. like in this video did it seem at all fair that the light hatchet player simply couldn't put a dent in my healthbar but once I turned my attention to him he was dead within a few swings? the tradeoff is intended to be mitigating more damage means you typically do less damage, the game is far from balanced. I imagine this is probably the first video of mine that you've watched since I've been championing the game and the devs relentlessly since I started making content again even to the point of muting commenters that chime in just to be negative about the game. at some point though, the onus is no longer on us as players and enjoyers of the game to simply ask for what we'd like to see happen and give the devs the benefit of the doubt that it will eventually come. pvp players have been asking for a new opr map where ranged isn't at such an advantage relentlessly for over two years, yet nothing. at some point it has to fall back on the devs to actually make real, measurable progress. many players, like yourself, have already voiced their frustration by taking their time and attention elsewhere. I still play the game because I enjoy it sometimes and am inconsolably frustrated with it other times, I just want it to be as fun as I know it can be and as it once was.

Я, например, принципиально не пользуюсь зельями регенерации, зельями снижения урона и едой +44 или 48 тк это дорого. Почему разработчики не сделают бесплатное использование в ОПР как на арене для меня загадка. New World это в первую очередь MMO, а значит равных условий не будет никогда, оружие, броня, зелья вносят дисбаланс. Если хочешь справедливого боя, тебе в сессионные action MMO.

I think that might be my idea for my next video then, "gear doesn't matter". and use a bunch of random blue gear to show that it is the weapons and skills themselves which need balancing.

well I've done unedited, full gameplay videos. they never perform as well telling me that people prefer highlights. I avoid doing "single kill" type clips like most people and try to at least make each segment a decently long stretch. if you watch any of my previous opr videos you'll never see me use regen pots or a rapier so I'm not sure why you're making so many assumptions, but I regularly play builds that are not the meta. once people finally catch on, and they become the meta, I move on to something else. nobody was playing hatchet when I started making videos with it, miicrow ranked it f-tier and said it was rarely used.. spear wasn't used when i made videos with it months and months ago. this isn't a "how to abuse the meta" channel. using blue gear does more than enough to prove that people are more concerned about which perks to use than they should be, regardless of any skill gap.

completely agree with the koya's idea, don't want the downsides I suggested more so meant I'd make it work no matter what the tradeoff was if they would at least make it worth using and give the option. personally don't think they should've reverted the change for light getting negative freedom, but they caved. if blooddrinker worked that way I don't think it'd even be a debate that it'd be the best solo artifact jewelry tho
